one labour mp asked about people who can’t communicate would they have to look for work ? And that’s when he said about seriously thinking about transitional protection if they lose out on pip

I received it via email this morning. Lovely wake up call. I have read others claiming it’s rubbish and I hope so . I’ve written to my MP Jeremy Corbyn to ask if it’s true . I will post on here if I get a reply . I’m sure he’s inundated about this situation

Scope seem very quite.

I thought exactly the same thing. I’ve asked a few times on here for scope to clarify and been ignored.

Hello @secretsquirrel1. Sorry I'm unable to find it, what have you asked for Scope to clarify? I can hopefully forward on the request for you. 🙂

the 4 points is unworkable for us. I’m on highest care pip and don’t receive a 4 points due to assessors not awarding them . I have ME and fibromyalgia among other conditions. I’m literally in bed 95% of my time. My body is like jelly , no energy and in constant pain. How can I no longer be classed as disabled after being diagnosed many years ago . And now made to look for work . Having a conversation on the phone tires me out . It’s ridiculous

same boat as you I get highest rate until December 2028 four 2s one 3 for washing and bathing and one 1 for managing treatment

hi it was something a while ago I can’t even remember what it was now . I asked several times but luckily others members helped me . But please can scope clarify the post on benefits and work regarding the legal advice they took which apparently said we can’t stop the reforms in court . It’s certainly caused me a great deal of distress . I thought we had protection from the equality act and echr. Thank you for replying

I will keep appealing and go to court until I get 4 points if it goes through

hi ,
Mines up next February so I’m expecting my form any time now. Last time my advisor advised me badly . This time I will fight for the 4 points and I expect this will be DLA-PIP all over again with the dwp having to train more tribunal staff quickly. I doubt they’ll even save money

me too

I emailed DPAC and a lot of disability charities last night and attached what was posted on the Benefit and Works site making them aware of it. I'm starting to feel despondent. By the sounds of it the government is not for backing down.

They don't seem to keeping anyone informed in what action they are taking. Are they talking to any mps on our behalf? They do have more push than us. Maybe they don't want to upset their buddies 🤔

I saw this post on the Work and Pensions Committee on X yesterday. This is all that we are worth. 'A short inquiry'.
Watch live as we begin our short inquiry into the impact of the Government’s proposals to reform the disability and health related benefits system.

it’s unbelievable how we are being deserted . Where are the unions? Constant marches and protests defending each other yet none protesting for us . Any other group being treated like this would be stopped by now . Starmer actually took Blair’s government to court to fight for benefits for asylum seekers and won as everyone is entitled to food and shelter. What a hypocrite starmer is as he’s suddenly against welfare for the disabled and elderly. And it seems we are deserving of food and shelter. That’s how I’m feeling today after reading that from B and W .

just to cover starmer to make it look transparent. How can it be legal in law to bring these reforms in before the impact assessment

Surely when they see the collateral damage this will all cause, the poverty, people on the streets losing their homes, NHS overload costing government more money there will be people marching in the streets, civil unrest and anarchy. There has to be legal challenges as it's a crime against the disabled. I'd expect this in a dictatorship third world country but not here.

I really don't know what the outcome of all these proposals is going to be. We just have to keep on fighting the good fight.

I used to live nearby the scope offices and remember a demonstration outside years ago . Disabled people demonstrating against scope . I’ll probably get in trouble on here for saying it but it’s true .
