trying makes friends and give up with dating and relationship .

I'm making friends with both women and men. Now I'm not bothering with dating or relationships anymore. Among the guys I have been making friends with, certain guys don't see me as a friend; others want to be more than friends with me; however, I'm just making friends before I get into a relationship or start dating. If it happens, I did feel anxious and did struggle to breathe and kept trying to breathe through my nose and out my mouth. My body did feel weird yesterday with very strong winds and it was a tough day at work and ended with a kiss when I was only in for a hug. that was classed as an unwanted kiss? I knew it was anxiety at some point when I was at my job. . Group for learning disability. I did throught of screen of panic attack / anxiety attack from inside out 2 . How can some guys I make friends with want to be more than just friends, while I just want to get to know them and have some fun before we start dating? not sure if i post on right Discussion group.

I've not met or dated in many years
After 2 divorces, the last marriage so abusive, left me with low self esteem and no confidence
So I stay inside

I think it is maybe a wee bit naive to expect your average man to be totally into platonic relationships. I appreciate that view might be dated.
My daughter's flatmate and best friend is a man, but he is a gay man.

I am divorced too, but found dating sites to be a complete waste of time. Being physically disabled and unemployed is no aphrodisiac it turns out ;-)

I gave up with dating too to be honest, I'm happy being single for now. Every relationship I have had I just get took advantaged of becuase of my autism. Dating sites are the worst. Full of fake profiles and bots and seriously expensive to have memberships. I have always dated neurotypical people and after my experience I found them to be lacking in any awareness or understanding of my autism, and eventually the relationship breaks down.
I vowed to never date an neurotypical again, not saying all neurotypicals are bad, but most from my experience can't see whats its like to have a learning disability or autism.
I joined an autism dating company a year ago, and only ever got 1 date out of it. It was full of too many men, and they didn't have enough women members and it was costing me still £20 a month for it.
I also can't seem to handle rejection well in relationships when they break down, I always blame myself and it has a massive affect on my mental health. (I have rejection sensative dysphoria). and it usually ends up with me in hospital after an relationship as I take it out on myself.
I find it really hard to date anyone, which is a shame as I always wanted a family of my own. But with how the world works, it seems to be dog eats dog environment. I feel like its like looking at a party through a window, while your stuck outside watching it from the window and never getting an invite.
