Best time to switch from ESA to UC help

I have to move from IR ESA & HB to UC by 22 May. What's the next dud to do this? I know it's a personalchoice but would like some advice.
Should I wait until my next ESA is paid on 12 May or switch to UC on the following day (May 13th)? Or should I wait until a day before deadline?
Also like to hear from people who have moved from ESA and found the process went smoothly, with TP and rent all sorted out when you get first UC payment.
Sorry about all the questions but I'm really scared and my mental health has been deteriorating. I also have mobility problems and virtually housebound. My flat is my sage place & I don't want any dwp visiting to check my ID. I have poor coping skills
