Not sure!

Had a phychiatrst assessment today after a year long battle with mental health services and begging to be seen,
I'm convinced I have bpd disorder and she has said today I have traits of bpd, generally anxiety disorder and ptsd, I kinda hsppy she listen to my struggles got it documented and am getting further help, part of the reason I did this was for pip, and I know some will say it's not about the condition but how it affects you daily but in the society we now live in I'm afraid it is more about the diagnosis, I have alot of other issues deafness etc etc and she said I have alot going on health wise which is true and that is making mental health worse I agree but was so hopeful of a diagnosis I now feel lost, opinions please

I agree with the diagnosis part. If you don't have a diagnosis of anything there is no evidence to provide and you have less chance of successfully being accepted. It is like a lotto as it is even with all the evidence etc.

Hi @charl1234, It feels so nice when people finally listen to you, but I'm sorry you're feeling mixed up about the result. It's good that you will have some documentation at least, I'm sure that will be helpful as evidence in the future. Did they say anything about what the next steps are?
Hope you're doing okay 💙

Thanks I'm having one to one help but so far all I have had hasn't really done much and I'm trying hard, a friend had to see same doctor 3 times before they diagnosed her and I'm thinking they need to show things go I'm very disappointed I didn't get the diagnosis as I'm 100 percent I have bpd and have looked into it so much

It's a really tough one @charl1234. Hopefully as time goes on they will be able to see all the evidence and support you in a diagnosis if that's what's right for you.
