Assesor used 1st assement for reference when i got full.award on mr

On my first pip application (5 years ago)I was refused pip then after the Mr I was awarded enhanced on both parts, I'm going through my review at the moment and had my phone assement ,I recieved the assessors report and it looks like it's a 0 again however on this report he states same as last assement nothing has changed . Would the assessor be looking at my first report and not the Mr decision of full award and would the decision maker see that I have full pip ..I wrote that nothing has changed I'm so confused by this would the decision maker also question this as to why the assessed is referring to the very first report and not the Mr decions that gave me full award ..I'm waiting on a decision and I'm so worried I'm loosing my award can anyone give me any thought on this please

Well done on getting Enhanced on both parts from a MR, rare but does happen. The decision maker will be aware of your current claim, history and the decision maker does not always go on what the assessor and his report states. I can't comment on what report the assessor used. The assessor may have stated nothing has changed because you stated nothing has changed. I don't think I can say anymore. If the decision does not go your way, you can go with a MR again.
May be other members could add more.

Thankyou for your reply,i gotvthe assessment repirt and its 0 on everythng and he refers to as1 assesors report 1 ,, but i not considered the full award i got on mr ,,would the dm pick up on this

The decision maker will be aware of your current award. I am not sure an assessor would make comment on your current award, they are assessing you for a future award. Zero's on everything is a disgrace. The Decision Maker does not always go on the assessors report and what the assessor has stated. The Decision Maker will pick up on the Zero's off the assessor and the fact you currently have Enhanced Rate on both elements of PIP. I can't say anymore really. If you are not happy with the assessment, you could call PIP, but I rarely call them.

I feel so annoyed and frustrated for you Krissyfez, its shocking to score you zero on everything when you were on enhanced. I cant help with the actual situation, others are much more qualified than me, however, I assume you will be doing another MR, is it possible to perhaps phone and ask to speak to a case manager at DWP ? It might be worth trying to resolve this now before starting an MR. I really don't know if that is something a claimant can do, sure someone will jump in if I am wrong about this, was just thinking of anyway you could start the ball rolling.

I called them and told them my concerns and they said the dm will have all the paperwork including the mr for the decision for the enhanced they have put a nite on my account to hold off from making a decision for a month as I'll be sending in more evidence they said it would be up to the case worker but I really hope they pick up on the decision that overided the first assement ..I just don't understand why I had to have an assessment for a review

Good you called PIP and got some answers and a hold to send in more information. As I have stated, the Decision Maker will be aware of you case history and that their decision over rode the first assessment! If I was a Decision Maker I would pick up on that straight away. They will know you got your award on a MR too.
Try not to over think it and relax...

I understand it is a worrying time for you, but try and stay calm. Can you talk to relations about all your worries as this will help to talk about it all. I know it's not easy but try not to stew over it all, reading a book will help or maybe playing a game on your computer like solitaire (card game). Just takes your mind of it all for a while.

Just reading this, it definitely seems possible @krissyfez71. Can you contact them initially to question this before having to go down the MR route?

I've merged a few discussions as they look to be for the same situation. Hope that's ok @krissyfez71

Hi thankyou for your reply ,I have called pip and they told me the dm will have all the reports from last time including the mr...and I asked them to hold if on making a decision so I can send in written evidence from a professional and my carers he said he has noted it on my account..I just don't understand whyvthe asseser has reference back to my original award and not the mr I'm so worried it really is affecting my health more as I use pip money to get the things to help with conditions whats the chances tge dm will pick up on the full award to the assesors report

Does anyone else have any insight to this

Try not to worry. The Decision Manager will know of your previous award from a MR, you have mentioned that was said when you called the DWP. The Decision Manager will have all information on you! The assessor may have looked back at your original assessment, but that is unimportant to your claim. The Decision Manager decides on your claim not the assessor and the Decision Manager has all your information and knows you were awarded on a MR last time. You were told this when you called the DWP. You are looking to far into it and worrying, stay calm and relax. Again, you have been told by the DWP that the Decision Manager has all the your reports/information and your MR award, so that is excellent as it is the Decision Manager that will decide on your future award, not the assessor!

Thankyou for your reasurance trevor,do you think thst the assers report is unimportant, would they not go with that, i have double looked and the asseser only had the 1st report as refernce im sorry if i keep asking for answers but my worry is really getting to me,i have open heart surgery comming up soon and i dont thunk i can cooe with all the stress if it all ,because if i lose my award i would lose my carer and that helps me so much ,its so worrying

I said, the assessor looking back at your original assessment is unimportant as it is an old assessment, it is the current assessment the Decision Manager will be using. And as said by the DWP to you, the Decision Manager has all your information and the MR decision that awarded you PIP the last time. You were awarded Enhanced on both elements of PIP. If the assessors latest assessment is the same as last as you think it maybe, the Decision Manager will look at all your evidence and the fact you were awarded Enhanced PIP at the MR. I genuinely think you will be awarded the same award - Enhanced on both elements of PIP. Try not to worry about it and take your mind of it. I know it is a worrying time but worrying won't help your case, so stay calm!
