I watched an MP today called jonathon bash ( I think ) . He said he’s now voting against the cuts , he was then asked does he regret voting for the WFA to be cut. He said yes he regrets and thinks about it every day 😀

Although he doesn't appear on the list of the MPs that signed letter against disability benefit cuts, neither has he said that he would vote against it, I hope he will not abstain, as abstaining is no different from voting for it from our point of view.
There are MPs who are against these cuts but who haven't signed the letter in question, such as Clive Lewis, MP for Norwich South, who openly said that he would vote against the demonic proposals of Keir Starmer and his clowns.

Video on disability talk with Steve shows the ages of claimants who get 4 points . I can’t link it but hopefully someone here can . It basically shows that the older you are the less likely you are to get 4 points showing this is not about getting people into jobs .

Hartlepool Labour MP Jonathan Brash confirmed he will be challenging Keir Starmer's decision to make major benefit cuts, which will affect vulnerable groups such as the disabled, during this morning's appearance on TalkTV. He revealed that he intends to vote against the government in a bid to save 50,000 children from poverty, marking the first time ever he has staged a rebellion against the leader.
He said:
"Work is absolutely the right place for people to be and I think we have gone through a generation where the benefits bill has sky-rocketed - but cutting support for disabled people doesn't solve that problem. That's just about balancing the books, it's about making the numbers stack up."

Did you hear what he said when asked if he regrets voting for the cuts to WFA ? Oh yes I regret it now and think about it every day . Of course he does now there’s been a fight back .

I've asked Grok how many labour MPs are needed to vote against disability benefit cuts proposal for it to be stopped.
After an exhaustive calculation, considering all elements and aspects, his final answer was this:
The number of Labour MPs needed to vote against the disability benefit cuts to stop the proposal depends on opposition support, abstentions, and turnout. A realistic estimate, assuming 100–150 opposition votes (from Lib Dems, SNP, Greens, some Conservatives) and 40–100 Labour abstentions, suggests 100–150 Labour MPs need to vote against the proposal to defeat it, assuming a turnout of 500–550 MPs. If 42 Labour MPs are already committed to voting against, an additional 60–110 Labour MPs would be required. However, with strong opposition support (e.g., 200 votes) and low turnout, as few as 20–50 additional Labour MPs could suffice, aligning with some optimistic claims.
The exact number hinges on how many opposition MPs (especially Conservatives) vote against and how many Labour MPs abstain. Given Labour’s large majority, defeating the bill requires a significant rebellion or substantial opposition support.

I read somewhere the Tory’s have said there voting against, this according to Ben claimant after he spoke to ministers after the debate. How true this is I don’t know.

Someone on Benefits and Work comments' section also said this about the Conservative minister who said that they would vote against the evil proposals:
"Yup, I was there and he definitely said that. He also said he didn’t think Timms would be pushing such proposals in opposition. And indeed Timms opposed similarly (but, remarkably less) cruel proposals in opposition."

so the Tory minister did say they would vote against. According to what I read all Tory’s voting against. 5 reform voting for cuts . Independents against. If that’s true Starmer needs Labour on his side .

I've messaged a number of Labour MP's on X saying that if these proposals go through that they're out of power at the next General Election. They'll also lose seats next year at the council elections as well. It's only my gut feeling but I think Labour will get this past. However down the line I think that some of these proposals will be watered down.

I hope they water it down, especially the 4 points rule and attaching lcwra to it .

Why older people I don't get it ?

They basically used the msm to spread misinformation that they’re targeting young people that are “ bluesy” or neurodivergent. When in fact it shows the ones really affected will be older people with physical conditions. It’s not about finding us work but taking money off us . They know as people age conditions get worse and there’s no possibility of us getting better. Pure evil

AAh Yes and older people ie myself are more likely to recieve well everyday something else comes out about them !!!!!

Isn’t it strange that if the Tory’s have said they’ll vote against it hasn’t been in the msm ?
