You're Welcome. 😊
There could be more MPs still before the end of the consultation in June. It's still 7 weeks away. Let's hope so. 🤞🤞

Also it’s a vote winner for the Tory’s . They’re in 3rd place now I think . This has has had more backlash than I think they expected . There are millions of people who are sick , disabled, carers or people who know they could become sick or disabled themselves at any time . Any party that defends us would be who we vote for next election. Regardless of Mel stride we won’t have any other options. Just my opinion , but if I were a Tory minister that’s what I’d do . I don’t care if they all hate us and it’s to save themselves as long as it helps us .

I think that they would have to put an exceptional clause in the PIP criteria, they are so completely disturbed and delusional!! 🤪

No still couldn’t do it , I’m useless at that sort of thing . The graph I mentioned was in facebook in the comments section of the article . It was written by Ben claimants who has videos by Ellen Clifford on his YouTube channel. I don’t know how true it is but someone on this thread just said they listened to the debate yesterday a Tory minister said they’re voting against.

Before Labour came into power, only in an alternate Universe could I imagine the Tories telling Labour that their benefit cuts are cruel.
This is very unlike the Tories, I wonder what they're up to?

If true I’d say they want our votes , after all they’re 3rd behind reform and labour if I remember correctly. Reform and labour won’t get our votes so if Tory’s help us out ….

I totally remember Zelda, I always felt sorry for her son because of how mean she was to him. Used to watch it back in the day and then a few years ago I bought the Blu Ray box set.

But I recall damn Kemi Badenoch saying to damn Keir Starmer that she would help him get his evil proposal go through!

"Brighton & Hove Green Party (with eight Green councillors locally) are today demanding that Labour MPs Chris Ward and Peter Kyle rebel against the horrific cuts to welfare and disability benefits planned by the Labour Government – or explain to Brighton & Hove residents why they are ignoring pleas from those who stand to be most affected. This demand is supported by a call for an Emergency Meeting of Brighton & Hove City Council, to ensure that concerns over the plans are able to be heard."

She’s as popular as Starmer so maybe she’s realised she needs our votes. Fingers and toes all crossed

I don’t think Starmer Reeves and Kendall expected all this

This is quite interesting, as I said it a bit earlier, I recall Kemi Badenoch saying to Keir Starmer in parliament, "I'll help you get your proposals through"!

Although I expect the bill to be passed through, it's somewhat reassuring that despite the MSM trying to bury the story regularly, this has created a lot of negative feeling.
I filled in the consultation. I've debated sending them an email covering the stuff I didn't get to put into the form, but I am not sure I trust myself to be polite about it :)

it could be they win either way, they could vote against knowing it may cause real problems or they could say to Starmer “we know your in trouble with this and will vote for the green paper if you promise to cut more from welfare “

But if you heard them say it’s cruel they can hardly say they’ll vote them through if labour go further surely ? It’s all weird and I couldn’t believe it when I read it this morning but I’m really hoping it’ll be a domino effect. 🙏🤞

Does anyone know anything about these harsher welfare cut proposals, reported to be announced in the autumn?

I think I read something about cuts to the access to work scheme , which if I remember correctly just proves what we’ve been saying about this being cost cutting not jobs. I haven’t heard anything else though . I think if true they’re drip feeding information to test the water .

If they were in power, I believe they wouldn't have gone as far as Labour are going, leave alone cutting welfare more. Upon the release of labour's spring statement, they said the cut was not enough, simply because they're the opposition and automatically oppose what Labour have said, as Jeremy Paxman wrote in his fascinating book (Political Animals), sometimes without even understanding what has been said.

I agree , they didn’t seem as determined as labour. Their green paper didn’t even make it through the courts yet instead of stopping it Labour fought it all the way in the courts and came back with a water tight bill .
