I've been so confused recently. why do the ministers seem to be in such a rush saying that these welfare changes are "urgent" to be made and don't even want to wait for a proper impact assessment and the figures of that to be conducted? What's with their urgency to cut these benefits without knowledge of the impact it will have? I just don't get it.

They need the money . Yesterday I saw a YouTube video where it was said an advisor has claimed that pip was just meant to be frozen until their house building helps the economy. Once they realised this wasn’t happening they decided to scrap pip . Obviously I don’t know if it’s true but does make sense

Just read this on the Benefits and Work site breaking down where claimants had received 4 points or more:

If people knew Keir Starmer was going to turn Labour into the most hated party in the country and making such a mess of this country, they would have voted for Rishi Sunak - the devil they knew - I guess!

I saw the minister for the disabled Sir Stephen Timms talking about the disabled becoming homeless and on the streets, the increase in this happening.
This seems madness, total contradiction to what the government are doing as the benefit cuts will create more of this and pressure on the NHS. Why doesn't he have a chat with Starmer, Reeve, Kendall etc.

I agree sunak is a pussycat compared to starmer

I think Rishi would have backed down as I think he was weaker and more emphatic than Starmer . Even their green paper didn’t make it through the courts as they weren’t very good but Starmer made sure his policies are water tight and he fought to keep the Tory green paper . To think the relief when Tory’s were out and labour in .

Thank you, would all this that you were told still be the case with these new proposals? So regardless if the government push for this, the dwp don't have the staff to comply?

I think the fear of all this came when Liz Witch Kendall said she wanted a ramping up of reassessments but failed to explain properly (on purpose no doubt) exactly what rhis meant, and the critera and circumstances for this. It had us all in fear of being suddenly reassessed for LCWRA with little information at the time who would be assessed. When she was pressed on this by the media and other groups, she admitted it was to be those who had a change in circumstances (which was the case before anyway) and people who were pregnant at the time of their claim, and cancer patients who were now better etc.
If your not in this criteria I honestly wouldn't worry too much, they are still dealing with backlogs, short staffed, dealing with mandatory reconsiderations and appeals, which will of course be made worse if PIP changes come into force because most people will appeal when turned down if this 4 point rule comes in, which at present has loads of opposition form DPAC, charities, and now over 100 labour mp's. I truly beleive the DWP have more to worry about at the moment , and not enough resources to be reassessing all of us, they can't even answer the phones after half hour of waiting, and it takes sometimes over a week for a reply on UC journals!!

It's time he went, odious little pyscopath he is!! Even his own mp's revile him, they used to call him flip flop as he changed his mind more than british weather. I have a few more choice words I could call him, but not on here as I'd get blocked😅 I hope they kick him out soonm with his other cronies, Kendall, Reeves, and that hypocrit Timms who also make me want to vomit just listening to their dulcet tones.

My main concern is that the nurse referred me (without my consent) to spa, particularly for them to assess my mobility and as to why I can't get to the surgery.
It's all on my records, therefore I am a concerned as to why I've been put forward for an assessment to check my mobility after all this time….
Anyway, spa contacted me today and I told the matron I did not give consent to the referral - which is unlawful (which it is, unless in an emergency or if the patient lacks capacity).
Because of all that is going on, I'm a little suspicious - I'm sure you understand :)0 -
No I haven’t seen that video . Was it from today ?
