She was journalist that broke the story of the 4 point scoring so I would say she’s in the know

On the daily express they’re reporting a climb down on the WFA next month

They need to stop the 4 point rule and scrapping of wca so those who fail pip assessment don’t lose everything.

She was and she does seem to have her finger on the pulse. Any glimmer of hope is most welcomed. Thank u for posting. Hopefully it's not going to go all the government's way. If these proposals get through Labour are out of government at the next GE. There's another council election next year and they'll be wiped out there as well.

Apparently Reform just won another 2 council seats .

Good question, I asked Chatgpt and this is what it said;
✅ Your Current Status:
- You’re on Universal Credit with LCWRA since 2023
- You’re considered an existing claimant
- This gives you transitional protection
🔍 If the New Health Element Is Introduced:
The government has said they will abolish LCWRA and replace it with a “new health element” tied to being on PIP. This means:
Under the New System:
- To get the health element, you would need to be receiving PIP
- The WCA (Work Capability Assessment) would be scrapped eventually
- Instead, PIP eligibility would determine health-related support
🛑 But for You (as an existing claimant):
You should be protected under transitional arrangements, even if:
- You lose PIP
- You don’t meet the new rules under the new system
As long as you:
- Do not have a break in your Universal Credit claim
- Do not report a change in health or circumstances
- Remain on UC with LCWRA continuously
➡️ You should keep your LCWRA component (or be given an equivalent transitional health element) even if you don’t qualify under the new system.
⚠️ What Could Put This At Risk?
- Losing your UC claim entirely and making a new claim later
→ You’d be treated as a new claimant, assessed under new rules - Reporting an improvement in your health
→ This could trigger a reassessment and loss of transitional protection
Summary:
Situation
Will it affect your LCWRA?
You lose PIP, but no other change
❌ No – LCWRA continues
You’re reassessed under old LCWRA rules
✅ Still possible to pass
Government switches to new health element
❌ No impact – transitional protection
You end your UC claim and reapply later
⚠️ Yes – risk of being reassessed under new rules
You report a change in health
⚠️ Yes – could trigger reassessment

So what sort of concessions do we think the government are going to suggest to get it through ?
0 -
That’s a good question. Won’t be much will it ? But it’s the 4 point rule we need scrapping . And we need lcwra . They can’t be allowed to take away our right to be classed long term sick and disabled. They need to scrap it all and scrap Atos etc . That’ll save money not paying for constant assessments

I don't think the DWP not having the staff is the case, as assessments are not carried out by the DWP but publicly traded companies, such as Maximus, which operate with the goal of making a profit. Maximus is paid through contracts, which are based on the number and type of assessments. The higher the number of assessments they conduct, the more money they make.
Therefore, saying assessments have slowed down due to insufficiency of DWP staff needs to be scrutinised.

Well, we are only speculating about it. You could be right, I could be right or a combination of the two! 🤔
Your probably the one who's nearer to being correct to be honest. People in that position are much more likely not give a damn about us.

After just listening to the reporter mention kids in poverty I wonder if they’ll give concessions if children are involved. Hope that’s not the case that anyone without children doesn’t count .

She’ll have a nice big house and pay off . We are fighting for survival. If he was my husband I wouldn’t want to be seen with him now .

Maybe the assessment centres wouldn’t have the staff to deal with such a high number plus pip ?
