Hi @amylou8850 and welcome to the community 😊
Thank you for sharing this. I have tagged a member of our specialist family team to contact you Monday as she'll likely have some helpful advice for you. I hope that's ok.
In the meantime, I'm sure other members might be able to provide some advice from their experience.
Best wishes,

Hi @amylou8850 and a warm welcome to the community!
Thank you for telling us a little bit about your situation. It sounds like you are doing your absolute best at trying to manage a difficult situation and it is good that you have reached out. It takes a lot of strength to do so!
I’m wondering if you have had a social care assessment for your daughter? I know that may sound a bit scary but it can often be a good way to open more doors for support. You can do this by contacting your local authoritys disabled childrens team and requesting a social care assessment. It also may also be helpful to ask your GP or paediatrician for urgent support with care coordination and behavioural input. They should be able to refer to CAMHS if you daughter hasn’t already been referred (or push it a bit more if you have been referred already) or refer to any specialist support that you have in your local area.
From what you have described it also sounds like you would benefit from a carer's assessment for yourself too.
If your daughter has an EHCP, it may also be helpful to requesting an early EHCP review. Especially if her behaviour is getting more difficult as she is getting older and if school has noticed a difference too or you believe it needs to be updated promptly.
From what you have described it also sounds like exploring short breaks, respite care and direct payments to bring in more help may be beneficial. A social worker can also useful to get the ball rolling with this so its definitely worth mentioning these if you want when you’re speaking to the local authority.
If you would like to talk more about practical strategies to try and help your daughters behaviour, I would be more than happy to support. Please could you tell me a bit more about your daughter? It would be helpful to know a little bit more so I don’t advise things that are not relevant or you have already tried or signpost somewhere you already getting support from!
For example, her age, how she communicates (verbal, non-verbal, signs, etc.) and any strategies you've already tried to help her that have been helpful (or haven't been quite the right fit) would be great to know too
I hope this was helpful, please reach out if you would more information, support or have additional questions😀0
