Self Employed

I need some advice please.
My partner has become self employed(nov24), I am in receipt of LCWRA for my mental health etc. And we have a 3yr old.my partner has been sent to Reed in partnership for some stupid reason when she is trying to increase her earnings and is continually being told she needs to be earning what ever 30 hours is . My problem is which was the same when I was self employed no one seems to know about being self employed. She is always out delivering trying to earn money but obviously some nights are dead so she doesnt get much money. I don't see how this is fair when my son doesn't get to see his mum hardly. When I worked part time for 20hrs uc left us alone but now it is just getting ridiculous. I hate being at home all the time I'm old fashioned and feel it should be me earning money for my family. I was told the first year doesn't apply as you are supposed to be building up your "business" how can she do that when she is being summoned ro job centre or Reed !!!!
