Serve should chest pain ect

Hi to all,

I went to the doctors on Friday as I had servre chest pain going into my neck & should 10/10 Pain the docs checked me over & phoned for an ambulance for me they did an ecg test said it wasn't my heart but my neck and shoulder I was kept from 4 to 11.30 am I was in agony still getting same servre pain I am waiting to have an mri Scan done when they send for me.

I just don't get why so much pain when I'm on morphine codine ibuprofen paracetamol ect it just dosnt add up.

    That sounds awful. Hopefully, you will get some relief. Nerve pain can be extremely painful. Best wishes.

    I'm so sorry to hear this. Not funny living with pain. I hope they get the scan done quickly and you can get the treatment you need. It sounds awful

    @amazingblazing628 really sorry to read this, but hopefully that's good news it wasn't your heart. Are you feeling better now, hopefully the MRI isn't too long in the future.

    Sorry to hear of your pain. Get the doctor to review your medication because you shouldn't be on Morphine along with Codeine. It can actually reduce the pain relieving effects and I'm surprised any doctor would prescribe that combination. The other thing is that taking the same pain relief for a long time sometimes makes people "tolerant", meaning your body gets used to them so they don't work like before. Good luck
