Just seen a headline on The guardian. I can’t view it all as I’m not subscribed but it says Labour could review all benefits cuts a source has said . Maybe someone can screenshot the report and post it on here please on here please 🙏

Just watched Richard Bergen talking about the cuts. He said given a free vote labour would vote against the cuts and in any event there are over 100 who will be fighting against cuts .

Thank you 🙏 . I hope this doesn’t mean a u turn on the 2 child policy but not for disability benefits.

I can't stand seeing her either.

Removing the two-child limit on child benefit would cost the government around £3.4 billion per year, according to the Institute for Fiscal Studies (IFS).
While scrapping their proposal on sickness and disability benefit cuts would cost the government £0.
They're blabbering on about saving £5 billion by 2029/2030, but numerous studies and experts suggest the government's plan to save £5 billion through benefit cuts is highly unlikely to be achieved. The same IFS has noted concerns about the efficiency and potential unintended consequences of the cuts, including the risk that the cuts will weaken incentives for people who can work to do so, while not adequately addressing the needs of those who may not be able to work. Also, research indicates that many people, including me unless I win the EuroMillions' jackpot, will face significant hardship and may be pushed into poverty as a result.

My fear is if they decide to scrap the 2 child limit will they pay for it with money saved via cuts to disability benefits. As you say a u turn on benefit cuts to pip will cost nothing .
I’m seeing a lot on YouTube about starmer not being able to stay as PM for much longer with Rayner wanting a tax for the rich rather than cuts . Plus the talk around the whole Starmer situation being spoken about if the truth comes out he’ll be finished. The Tory’s did that with Matt Hancock , just wait till the times right .3 -
trouble is the clock is ticking …..
he's needs to be gone well before the end of June so a halt can be put on these cuts / vote

Rayners plotting with her “ leaked” email. Richard Burgan said if they had a free vote Labour would vote against the cuts but over 100 are already fighting against anyway . It’s disgusting how he’s able to cover up what’s really happening as it’s in the nations interest to know.

It's the aggressiveness that makes her so vile for me

You have completely misunderstood me. You know knowing about me. Thanks for your projected judgement call on me.

They won't be able to fund the Child Benefit "with money saved via cuts to disability benefits", as there won't be any money saved via such cuts.
Starmer has no imminent threat whatsoever from within Labour, as he's backed by the people whom they call "the grandees of Labour", such as Blair, Gordon, Blunkett, Campbell, etc., and he has surrounded himself with Blairites, such as Liz Kendall, Yvette Cooper, Pat McFadden, Jacqui Smith, and Jonathan Powell, etc.
In addition, Labour MPs are not like the Tories. They stick with their so-called leader. You'll never see them tabling a vote of confidence against their leader, or plotting a coup. And Keir Starmer is well-equipped against such a coup, as the current Labour is full of newbies, who would do anything for them to just keep their jobs.
Angela Rayner doesn't have support from the above guys to replace Keir Starmer. In addition, the usual culprits do not want someone who wants to serve the many, like Corbyn or even Rayner, albeit flipflopping per convenience, but one who serves the few, like Keir Starmer.
When it comes to serious issues, like this one, you shouldn't take note of what YouTubers are uttering.
