Migration to UC and elderly parent moving in

hi all
I’ve been renting from my mum for over 13 years, I am on PIP and income related ESA support group, I get housing benefit and council tax benefit, I live with my 22 year old daughter who is at university at the moment.
i did ask on here before that if my elderly mother moved in would it affect my ESA. I understand housing/council tax would stop as it’s her home. She is also on pip/currently had pacemaker fitted.
now we have to migrate to UC I’m not sure if her moving in would affect this as not sure if it will be different to ESA support group that im currently receiving.
Thank you :)

It wouldn't affect UC the same as it wouldn't affect ESA.

thank you for responding, I really appreciate it.
I was just concerned I was being made to migrate to another benefit with a different set of rules :)

If it is just a migration the benefit rates should be unchanged I think. But you do need to inform them that your mother is moving in or they will question why you didn't mention it...
I just moved over ESA inc related support group to UC. I had to provide 3 months worth bank statements and savings statements but all was in order so it was OK.
Best Wishes
Anna
Ps They count as savings money in your current account...in case you have topped it up with savings recently I think.
