AET and transitional protection

Hi can anyone help me with an issue with UC. I am in receipt of PIP and have recently been awarded LCWRA. I’d been off sick from my job for almost six months but decided to hand on my notice because my job was very physical and heavy with a very early start time and it all became to much and caused a increase in my pain and fatigue. This month they took away my transitional protection and I’ve not idea why. They said it was because I didn’t meet the AET threshold for three consecutive month but I was off sick and getting SSP. They previously told me that I can still work if I want to but don’t have to worry about meeting the AET threshold because I get LCWRA. They also told me that I didn’t have to send in my sick note anymore because of LCWRA. I am very confused I didn’t send my last two sick notes because they told me not to but unfortunately it seems to depend on who you speak to as often given conflicting advice. Does anyone know the answer. It’s just me so this is a single claim. Thank you

Once awarded LCWRA you are no longer required to send in Fit Notes.
LCWRA also means no commitments - so you can work but won't have any commitments such as AET threshold.
Your entitlement to Transitional Protection was linked to meeting the AET threshold. In your first Assessment Period you exceeded the AET. This means any drop below AET for three consecutive assessment periods sees Transitional Protection end.
From what you've written everything seems correct.

Hi thank you for the message and help. I’ve not met the AET since December as been on statutory sick pay so no one in that position would have met the AET but was told I was covered because I had a fit note as they call it now. It means over £200 drop a month drop in income which is a lot of money. After all bill are paid there’s not much left. Oh well at least I’ll get slim 😂! Seriously though if anyone else is off sick from work please be aware you’ll lose your transitional protection. They don’t tell you. Thanks again for your response.
