hello

(1) Is the ESA run on (whether deducted or not from UC) certain on original cycle after UC application?

(2) Is the NS ESA certain 4 weeks after UC application??

(3) How certain is LCWRA added to first UC assessment payment ?

The reason why I ask is whether to request an advance. Looks like they take 15% back of your allowance rather than in 24 chunks (I thought)

    Hi,

The ESA run on is not always on the original cycle. That does not get deducted from UC.

NS ESA won't start until the UC has been sorted out.

LCWRA seems to be getting missed from the first payment more now than last year. You can check your journal commitments to see if LCWRA has been added. And then it will show on your statement a few days before your payment day as well.

Regarding the advance, I would say it's not worth taking unless you really need it. If you've got enough in savings to cover the first AP I would use that instead. Obviously if you do need it then you'll have to take it and deal with the repayments afterwards.

    Hello @fluffycat

Just to expand on @OverlyAnxious's excellent answers:

1: ESA run on payment should usually be on the original schedule, I have seen rare instances where this has not happened but it is supposed to.

3: If LCWRA is missing from your first payment (which does seem to happen quite frequently, along with delays in calculating any transitional payment amounts), they will owe you this money back. You should receive your statement around 5 days before your payment due date so it gives you a little bit of time to raise it with them ahead of your payment.

With regards to your advance, it will give you repayment options of up to 24 months. The 15% is also in relation to only your standard allowance, not of your total award.
