Hope you're okay @Amberpearl, it's understandable that you're feeling scared and upset by it all. Take each day as it comes and try to relax if you can manage it. I know that's probably easier said than done with all that's going on but as someone suggested above, maybe lots more cat cuddles are in order π
Fingers crossed that you're not waiting too long for the cardiology referral to come through.

Thinking of you @Amberpearl, I'm glad you've got your bloods results but sorry you're feeling stressed and upset/scared.
As a cardiology patient myself in 2022-2023 (and previously worked their, only briefly/Bank work, c 12 times over the last decade), I found their knowledge and skill extremely reassuring but that doesn't really stop the fear completely when it's our heart.
It's good that your BP and pulse have normalised and very good that your other blood results are normal (kidneys, liver, thyroid and diabetic test). I hope your scan gets arranged soon and that you feel things are more stable once you start on your blood thinners too.
Take good care π«.

Hi everyone, itβs a very dark and lonely time at the moment. Iβve decided to reach out to my sister after thinking for a while on something. I inherited some precious items belonging to our grandparents, As Iβve not seen my family for nearly ten years, no longer have any friends in my life and have now become a recluse. Iβve decided itβs time for me to atone for many many poor choices and inability to physically control my emotions and behaviour over the last 42 years. Iβve decided to send my grandparents items back to my parents so as they can be handed down to my Sisters two girls and remain in the family where they belong. I donβt deserve to call them my nieces and it wouldnβt be right for me to do so. Itβs one last goodbye thing I can do in life, after leaving many scars, a lot of hurt and many people being ashamed of me in both Oldham and Chesterfield. Iβm just going to live out, however many years I have left in isolation and have already started paying for a non attendance cremation which will be active in two years. Iβve said my goodbye to my Sister now and also said goodbye to my family via the message. Iβm going to do the same with my ex wife and tell her that Iβll apply for a conditional order for the divorce in September and finally a final order. Iβve made my bed and Iβll have to lay in it for however many years I have left until the day Iβm nothing but a pile of scattered ashes in a nameless crem in Derby. This is also going to be my final time speaking on here to, I wish each and everyone all the best with there lives, thank you for advice and support and time on here. Could admin please delete my profile please as once I sign off here, it will become dormant.

Ok. So I got backdated money from esa. A handsome amount. I need to read that letter that hopefully will come this week or next week. I need some clearance here because apparently he said esa will go up. But I am worry. He mentioned 82 quid but can not be per week. I guess that will be per month.
Normally I am not a lucky person. I am not a lucky person end off. Also need to know how much if so the esa will go up. As I said I thought it was a high amount. He mentioned it will go up. I will keep an eye..
Weather been miserable and it does not help mentally.. anyway take care. And worry with the move to UC when it happens the amount will be well below what I am getting. I don't want to be moved to UC but I have no choice... Maybe a good lottery win will come... Bye for now.

Dear @Amberpearl,
I'm sorry you feel so lonely and so stressed but AF will not cause you to drop down at any moment.
Please, I urge you to ring the AF Association today; they're on 01789 867502 (think they're in Stratford-upon-Avon). That's the Helpline number for AF patients. They're open from 0800hrs to 1730hrs Monday to Friday.
They will let you talk through your fears and concerns and they will help you.
They're closed at weekends but if you rang at weekend and left a voicemail with your name and number then someone would ring you back at weekend.
Tracey is the Patient Services Manager there who you'd probably speak to. I've rang to double check they're open today - they are and Tracey is on duty but is in a meeting from 1045 to 1230, so you'd get her before or after 1230 if you choose to ring.
I hope you do ring @Amberpearl; your stress level may be greatly reduced if you speak to someone who can really help you understand it better. Anyway, take good care and I'll just leave that information with you in case you want to use it. Very warmest of wishes β¨οΈ π«.

Morning everyone π
Sorry to hear you're thinking of leaving @Roughyed1485, I've popped you an email. I know it's been a really tough time for you lately so I hope you're doing as well as possible.
That sounds promising @Schildpad! Fingers crossed that your letter comes through soon so you can get some clarity on how things will change.
Sending you lots of love @Amberpearl. Santosha's kind response about the helpline looks really worth looking into. I'm sure they will be really helpful and might be able to put your mind at ease.
My dad lived with AF for quite a few months on all the medications. At times it wasn't easy and the abnormal rhythm wore him out a lot, but after receiving treatment he's now back in a normal rhythm and feeling like himself again. It's pretty scary to face it all, but the cardiologists will hopefully set up a treatment plan for you and we're all here to support you in the meantime π

I read a message from the chat that once you get money backdated. They will be asking for bank statements a year later. It came.a lot of money together . So I have to splash the money in a years time.
Bad times could happen and that my money is very welcome. .and it is their fault. Anyway I will see what happen.
But I live in constant anxiety. This should make me feel better but I am feeling quite the opposite.

Your dad is still alive and well?

I do hope you'll feel up to ringing them @Amberpearl. I have no doubt at all that they'll help you. Because they want to, as doctors do too. They've not trained for 7 years plus to cause us harm.
Good luck to your friend if she believes only in homeopathic care.
If I hadn't have had antibiotics in Dec to Feb for double pnuemonia I wouldn't be here now (sepsis). So I, personally, thank God, or whoever, for our medications and the expert care we can get.
Homeopathic treatment didn't help my mum recover from two different cancers either - conventional medicine did though like surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
I have no truck with people who try to persuade others of potentially unsafe treatment and interventions: no patience with them whatsoever. OK if they want to limit what they have for themselves, they can take their chance. But complete nonsense in my humble opinion (sorry, but not sorry - I don't tend to mince my words!).
Finally, beta blockers restored my BP and pulse (which was 145 per min in Dec). And I've seen it in my nursing career (including the huge work done in evidence-based trials to get drugs approved) with very many positive outcomes including much longer lives!
Do what's right for you @Amberpearl but I'd say please, just have an open mind and seek out the right people to advise you like cardiology, your nurses, the AF charity. Lots of warmest wishes to you and π«.
