I understand @Amberpearl.
Apart from the AF charity I mentioned I think on Friday, the Stroke Association website also have very good, reliable information on blood thinners - as well as a Forum - just in case you want more information in making the decision that's right for you, before you speak to either a doctor on 111 or your GP tomorrow.
The nurse you saw will be experienced/knowledgeable (particularly if she is a nurse prescriber) and would have prescribed blood thinners on the basis that the benefits for you to go on them (because of the AF) outweigh the risks.
It is, of course, always our decision as a patient to decide whether we consent to any treatment, including medication (and 111 can also advise on side effects too). Just want you to be fully informed that's all, and I'll stop rabbiting on now ! With very warmest wishes to you.

Good Morning @Amberpearl π. I hope you're able to get an appointment today and that you had a good night.
I've got an unusual question for you. If I eat something like, say, hoola hoops (very rarely!), I either have to eat them quietly π or crunch one into 4 pieces so my dogs can have a very small piece each. Do cats not eat treats in this way as I can't imagine how you'd split treats between 15 cats - they'd be none left for you!! Or do they just eat cat treats?
Hope you don't mind me asking, genuinely interested, kept imagining you surrounded by 15 cats all wanting some of what you're eating.
One of my dogs (the yorkie) stares intently when I'm eating anything, watches whatever it is going from plate to mouth like he's mesmerised by it ha ha.
It takes me around 40-60 minutes in the morning to feed them/get their bowls/water etc ready for their day.
When I had 3 dogs, I thought a 4th won't make any difference but it did, but I wouldn't change that and don't regret it even though he's a monkey!!
