Corbyn just put this up on X
The Independent Alliance has tabled the following amendment to the Government's disability cuts Bill.
MPs should think long and hard about the dreadful consequences these cuts will have. Rest assured, we will keep campaigning for the rights of disabled people to live in dignity.

I keep trying to work this severe category out. I have hemiplegic cerebral palsy, use 4 different walking appliances to walk, i can’t move my foot and have foot drop.
I can barely move my left hand, to grasp things, and have no finer motor skills in my hand either. my “good” also has problems now from a lifetime of overcompensating for the taking my body weight and keep my balance.
I have obviously can’t be cured, have a diagnosis from a NHS consultant etc, who knows if I meet the criteria.1 -
I was early ill health retired from my career at age 47
All reasonable adaptions were tried and failed and the occupational health Doctor and specialist consultant did reports stating I am unable to do any kind of work, yet I have been reassessed every three years for benefits.
Its ludicrous and a waste of time.
My condition has deteriorated over the years and I have supplied medical evidence proving it yet I still get hauled up, rather than them accepting my situation and granting me ongoing award.

Hi all ,
Hope you’re all doing well in these scary times . Can I ask anyone on here who has fibromyalgia or ME do you suffer from bad cramps ? I know everyone gets cramps but I’ve had them for years and blood tests from my specialist showed nothing up . It’s been getting a lot worse the past year especially in my hands . Is this a symptom of fibromyalgia or ME? If you don’t want to reply personal info on here you can always pm me if you want to , thanks in advance

Wonder if there can be more amendments like taking out the 4 point rule ect

Well if they do they can’t insist this is about getting people into work can they . If they mean rich people than yes , like Cameron getting it . But normal people who can work but maybe not able to work full time are helped by pip

I got hardly any sleep last night worrying about the bill being introduced to Parliament yesterday.

If they took that away they wouldn’t put so many into destitution so I can’t see it . I’d like to know what happened to the scrapping of 4 points for enhanced, that idea disappeared

They can remove the whip from MPs, but cannot remove them from the House of Commons.
MPs can keep their seat in the House of Commons even if the party whip is withdrawn from them. Withdrawal of the whip from an MP means the MP is effectively expelled from their party but remains a Member of Parliament and can continue to sit in the House of Commons as an independent.
Although non-independent MPs are affiliated with political parties, they are ultimately elected by the voters in their specific constituency, not by their party.
Therefore, among those expelled from the Conservative Party by Boris, apart from the ones who've ceased to be MP by their own decision, the rest are still MPs.

Hi luvpink ,
Hope you’re doing ok . Yes it’s like a lottery the whole thing . I feel the same as my conditions can’t get better and assessor was knowledgeable yet still 2 years increased to three by dwp. This is where they waste money. How do they think you’ll suddenly improve? It’s just cruel keep making us go over things again and again. Without energy I don’t know what I can do , even sitting in a chair for any length of time is so tiring I need to rest . If the severe category is fair and not down to luck of who assesses us it would be a good way to save us . Unfortunately I don’t trust them as how many wouldn’t actually fit the criteria? They want as many off as possible
