Why you dehumanising people? That's not nice.

Sir. Gregory Fluffpaws III is disappointed with this.

Anyone remember Brexit? Hello?
🙄

I have nothing against cats - but why are so many appearing in my thread which started on a totally different subject ?
if Wheeled_weapon doesn't approve - then why not just avoid reading the thread - rather than continually post cat images ??

Mittens thinks you should go cry to Nigel Farage 😭😭

@Wibbles I bet you say "I'm not racist, but..." a lot.

Morning all. Further to Albus’ comment yesterday, I'm going to have to pause this chat for a little bit today to allow tensions to ease.
I also wanted to add that it’s important to remember there is no evidence of a causal link between immigration and an increase in crime in the UK.

Somehow, I'm not surprised somebody complaining about refugees coming over in small boats has no clue that:
- there is no such thing as an "illegal immigrant" under international law, which superceeds UK law
- The UK left the Dublin Agreement thanks to Brexit, meaning that asylum seekers can't be sent back to the EU anymore. This is well known in asylum seeker circles, and is why many are choosing to come here
- France has offered to work with the UK to open a processing centre in France, but the UK government refuses to take them up on their offer
- The UK government also refuses to open up any easier routes for asylum seekers to claim asylum outside the UK, such as at other UK consulates worldwide, forcing them to risk their lives in small boats
- The UK is partially responsible, both now and historically, for various conflicts that are creating refugees in the first place (ie. Palestine, Jammu and Kashmir, Afghanistan etc.) thanks to the British Empire
- the climate crisis will create more refugees
If you want people to stop coming over in small boats, you must accept all the above, and campaign for human action to address all the above. Attacking people in small boats the way you are doing is not helpful (and that's putting it kindly).
Also, love the cat pics.

Well done for falling for the Farage bullocks. You do know they always came, hidden in lorries, right? Since Brexit it is small boats.
Anyway, what would you like to do to the poor sods?

On a forum where a large number of members have faced (or face) discrimination, I can't believe this disgusting thread has been allowed to continue.
We've had the "Send 'em all back" comment, the thinly veiled 'immigration and crime is directly correlated' comment - and that was from one member.
This whole thread stinks of "I'm not racist, but..."
Percival Woolypaws is judging some of the people on this thread very harshly. He says "Go take it to a right wing echo-chamber forum where you can all brown-nose Farage and Robinson away from the decent people on the Scope forum. You disgust me (meow)."

Jesus! Percival Woolypaws doesn't mince his words! 😮

Cat Deeley says "I don't know why I'm here, I'm not actually a cat."

Cat Stevens wonders if there's been some sort of mix up. He also points out that he's not actually a cat.
