i can any one tell me what i have to write in the letter asking for statement of reasons

Hi cath61,
All you have to do at this point is write a simple letter asking for the statement of reasons. Also, ask for a copy of the record of proceedings. The record of proceedings is the tribunal judge's handwritten notes that are written whilst the hearing is taking place.
Once you have received these, you'll need to identify an error of law if you want to take it further. The notes that accompany the statement of reasons will tell you what constitutes an error of law, but it can be hard to identify so you might want to seek practical advice from your local CAB or Welfare Rights team.

There is no time constaint on the judge for issuing a SOR, it could be months.
If you are waiting to long it is worth ringing the tribunal clerk.
