Benefits

So I just seen article about over 100 mps wanting to stop or pause the benefit changes. Is this looking likely it won't go ahead?:+

No, unfortunately I think it will go ahead, they cannot afford not to save £5B, and a large part of that is future expenditure as they are trying to limit new claims.

I don't think it will happen you can't just suddenly decide a person is disabled to say your fit to work. So say last five years someone not fit to work then they say your now fit for work but no change of circumstances.

Cameron's lot did just that in moving the goalposts, and this lot want to move them some more.

Hi @neil12345 - I believe there are now 137 MPs opposed to this bill about benefit changes. Seems like we'll have to wait until 1 July to find out more. If sufficient MPs vote in favour of this 'reasoned amendment,' if it's chosen, then this could stop this bill.
