Quetiapine

Hi
Is anyone else not not getting on with this medication?
I have been prescribed it for major depression and take 75mg daily. One in the morning and two at night.
Even after getting use to the side effects I am still finding myself completely knocked out five months down the line.
Feel flat and its a real effort to motivate myself. Feel as if I just want to sit and cry and do absolutely nothing which is not like me.
Any thoughts or similar experiences appreciated.

I tried quetiapine and it didn’t suit me. I became nocturnal! My GP was happy to try a different med instead. Please talk to your doctors, there’s plenty of alternatives you can try and hopefully you’ll find one that helps

I've been on it in the past.
It was amazing for sleep. I'd be knocked out within 15 minutes of taking it. But I put on about 6 stone with a few years and still gaining weight so I decided to stop it.
Lost almost all that weight within a year of stopping it though.

I was placed on Quetiapine at the back end of 2023 by Consultants on a mental health unit. I initially started with 75mg, 19 months on and I’m on 150mg alongside 45mg of Mirtazapine. I’ve been ok on it so far, it’s certainly better than the Sertraline I was on before. I take 7 medications on a daily basis alongside my inhalers and having PRN meds alongside.
I’ve felt washed out and tired since 2023, but that’s largely having long covid alongside all of the other health issues I battle each day.0
