That's completely understandable @Catherine21. It's been very intense this week so it's crucial you look after yourself. 💜

My guess is that 'acne' and 'writers cramp' are just one of many conditions the persons had. I very much doubt anyone was able to get it on those conditions alone and certainly not mobility as is being claimed.

Whats happening today is it going ahead i'm confused that's all labour do is confuse people.

Again Catherine and others who are confused distressed anxiouism' even suicdal, patience please.

And use your friends or any other source of support as well(hobbies, what you enjoy doing, a treat etc.)

It will be over soon and Catherine, I am, and other disabled people are valuable worthy human beings worthy of winning this vote to destroy Starmer's Bill.

Patience, persistence, mindful presence of what is good in our lives, and being kind to ourselves, our friends, those who do help us - please compliment them.

We deserve happiness and not oppression.

I encourage everyone to Google mindfulness and mediation and your postcode or town's name, and to practice yoga, relaxation.

Please Google anything you think might heal your physical pains and mental agonies.

    Lok after yourselves.

    PS

Catherine you are a wonderful human being who took my gentle, tender nurturing in a post a few months ago, when you expressed total despair, frustration anxiety and depression. You acted upon my empathy, and recovered, and told me you'd write to your MP.

So, you can do it again.

Buddha's parable of The 84th Problem is relevant here.

It means a farmer approached Buddha Shakyamunni, moaned about his mountain of work, family problems lack of rain, aging etc., etc. And Buddha said I cant solve your problems, you can, if we listen to each other compassionately. The farmer said: ''But you are the Teacher, the guru, you can surely end my suffering. ?'' No I cannot, I can help by compassion and wisdom, but I cant do it for you, and do you know what the worst problem is? Its the attitude we shouldn't suffer problems. ''

In Freudian terms, we resist having problems, give up the resistance to solving your own problems, with help, and then suffering neurosis will heal.

Be joyful, radiate love, I am, and anyone can do it. Problems are opportunities; all demons are diamonds.

I hope this helps. We all deserve love, insight, and support, and happiness too.

The Taxpayers Alliance are one of those lobbying groups that represent the interests of the super rich who want ultra-low taxes and no redistributing of taxpayer money to poor people. The IEA are another. Their supporters will trumpet slogans like 'taxation is theft'. Many of these people will probably change their tune when AI takes their jobs and they are left screaming for UBI.

If she gets enough to vote our way I think it kills the bill. Shame turncoat hellier didn’t keep the amendment instead of siding with Starmer.

    Mrs BB

What I was trying to say was there are MILLIONS of elderly and disabled people in the UK, and they make up at least a 3rd of the UK population, which is rapidly ageing too.

Hence there will be ever more disabled and elderly people, voters, likely to vote against any govt that tries to cut their pensions, fuel allowances and disability benefits.

It is V HOT and its also affected my concentration, remember to drink plenty of water and in general look after yourselves folks, and support each other.

Here's a letter I have written to Leeds Welfare Rights:

Milan Ghosh re UC Migration and PIP DP SDP ESA which benefits will I lose, and gain?

My UC form was done with help from staff at Seacroft Jobcentre - I could not have done it alone. It took over 2 hours, and unfortunately afterwards the intense anxiety provoked a suicide attempt. I still do not now which benefits I will lose.
I signed the form under psychological duress: I had to sign the form to retain some benefits, but resented having to sign saying I understood I would lose benefits. I think such pressure is against the right to life, duty of care and other rights to informed choices and at least 5 other basic rights.I will be consulting 9 solicitors pro bono charity etc. about these rights - will they stand up in court in M Ghosh v govt.
Will I lose ESA if so that just over 121 quid a week I'll lose, and with inflation still high I will be definitely be in poverty.
Will I lose my CTB DP SDP
I'm very worried. You advice is invaluable, and thanks for it many times in the past indeed.
    Milan Ghosh.

We may yet still win this

We certainly deserve to - even more MPs are disgusted even with Starmers 'concessions'.

And we did the hard graft of campaigning, writing to MPs, the media going on TV radio etc, sharing it, especially the mass lobby of parliament.

Dear Catherine21, and all others in this discussion forum of SCOPEs, we deserve love, self respect, respect by society, non stigma WE ARE HUMAN BEINGS WHO DESERVE FAR BETTER, AND WHEN WE RECEIVE COMPASSION TO SHARE AND BE GRATEFUL. We are not bad evil or wicked, we have disabilities. We did not ask for this disablist oppression, and stigma, and do NOT deserve it,. It is NOT our fault.

I was just moved to tears by Catherines thank you to me for my kindness, and others have shown great kindness, legal info, advice support to me, and others. That is what it IS all about comradeship we are stronger than we know, and stronger united, and hatred is worth nowt. We can transform any frustration or ill-will towards the govt into cogent reasoning, legal actions, lobbying. It is totally understandable we feel hurt traumatised, angry bitter even enraged but anger makes us bad company and destroys our happiness.

I shall NEVER forget the loyalty comradeship support encouragement challenges of al the wonderful courageous deeply courageous and sensitive nurturing disabled people on this forum. I am eternally in your debt, and love is its own reward, hatred is its own punishment on the perpetrator. Gratitude peace of mind and courage are the rewards for compassion.

I have spent hours many days over 5 months sitting at this PC desk, and with 8 MSK conditions its v painful, so I alternate it with organic wildlife gardening.

I'm glad to hear Catherine has given herself a break by clipping the hedge too, as endorphins kick in when exercising, so easing or even ending physical and mental pains.

We have coping strategies, and healing insights to apply. And I'm sure many on this forum use them; please share them a bit more to reduce the distress and suffering, as I keep saying we need to keep healing ourselves day and night, and look after ourselves.

I have suffered the internalised stigmas in ma head of disabilism and mentalism, and it turned to self hatred and suicide attempts.

I am slowly learning to turn even the total despair of internalised stigmas resulting in self hatred into the opposite self esteem. To ignore the self-hatred and dissolve it with insights. I am saying this deliberately to try to help others who have suffered deep and multiple traumas like myself, to transform even the deepest distresses into happiness.

We al suffer, when suffering meets self-compassion, and or other-compassion there is healing.

We are ALL with you Catherine, and with each other!

I repeat yogibear's comment: it is worth repeating:

I think any MP that votes for this bill today will be seeking alternative employment when it comes to the next GE.

    Thank you so much yogibear.

Having listened to Hillier's troop-rallying rhetoric there 🙄, I expect to see her on the front bench sooner than later. Who knows she it may even be the Hillier Review rather than the Timms' Review.

I can only imagine she's been offered something special to perform such a volte-face within mere hours.

I definitely had the same thoughts about some kind of promotion coming for her, if she helps get the bill over the line. The concessions are weak, temporary, and discriminatory against future applicants. The fact she's now dancing around urging her colleagues to bank what they've won is incredible.

It's like going on a game show where the top prize is £1million, and accepting the first offer of £100 to walk away - despite making a great start. They could easily push for more concessions, better concessions, if they stuck together. The government have even been briefing they don't rule it out. Crazy.

Aww happy you are a little worry free today ☺️really is no point is there lol worrying takes up valuable energy that I dont have at the mo. Catherine, I am picturing you trying to cut the hedge blinded by sweat 😁 its so blooming muggy today. Its really not helping the thrush in my mouth and throat, caused by mega doses of Antibiotics for weeks, no amount of slavering my tongue with natural yogurt or swilling Nystatin baby liquid round my gob is doing a thing 🤣😊

Catherine 21 has expressed deep despair depression anxiety, distress in a word.

    And

Also great strength, legal research shared strategies, given political updates, media articles, etc..

What I am saying is like me, she is vulnerable, 'weak' and strong.

Its not one or the other.

We are all paradoxical messes-in-progress, and that's OK.

I remember reading someone say they’re voting for the bill as they’ve saved their constituents. In other words their voters , not concerned with future disabled people. I could be wrong but it may of been Meg , though I can’t be sure. Either way that’s why they fought for us only , cos we threatened their seats . Maybe they didn’t feel a backlash from non disabled people.
