Hi @Foxysue63 - & welcome to the community. If you have an award of PIP before State Pension Age, then this just continues once you have reached that age. You don't change to Attendance Allowance, as your PIP award just carries on with a 'light touch' review, so then will likely be every 10 years.
Attendance Allowance is a benefit that only people older than State Pension Age can claim, as they can't claim PIP. I hope that reassures you.

I reach pension age in January, my PIP award is till September 2026 so I am expecting to be reviewed anytime from september 2025.
Do you think I will be reviewed or my award will carry on without review?
@Foxysue63 Sorry to jump on your thread.

Hi @Carpy - I think currently those up for review receive their forms about 8 months before their award is due to end, so you will be very close to your State Pension Age. Whether you'll receive one last review before hopefully keeping your award, or not, I just don't know.
As the OP already has a 10 year award, their circumstances are perhaps a little different, as I'd expect that to just continue with a short review (but no assessment) every 10 years.

Ok thanks, I’ll just have to wait and see.

I was on DLA, but lost out in PiP. I applied for attendance allowance and lost on that because I can use a toilet. The system is set totally towards fail. This and the last government do not have a clue how you suffer or need help, and I had the backing of my care worker at the time.
