Very hot night, not looking forward to the hot afternoon and another hot night. Ive not opened my windows downstairs, not sure if it will be better. My dog and cat finding it hard, my cat is a fluff ball and my dog 13yrs old. Bless them.

It's best if you keep windows and blinds all closed unless the air outside is cooler than inside. Windows create a huge amount of heat inside and if you have to open a window, open one high up in the house or flat, as hot air rises, so it'll keep some of the cooler air in the house.
If you can put some ice cubes, or even a refrigerated can on pop in the pets water bowl, that'll help them a lot too. ☺️0 -
I'm ok but could be better my PA is off on the sick and my mum is poorly in London. She's at Wimbledon my dad's gone to pick her up

hello…… weather seems to be ok in the middle of the night and early morning. and then it gets unbearably hot… the temperature needs to go down as it is hard even to breath.
tomorrow will be another day. i am trying not to think about the benefits stuff.. it is out of my control. i hope the temperature will go down.. and i mean a lot …. otherwise is again fan on all night. or at least in a timer to switch off in the middle of the night…
as i said as long as it is not raining i am happy. and even if it rains it will be cooler that with all these heat. hopefully you are keeping cool… really considering one of those coolers. or those portable air con.. one of those you put a sort of hose out of the window.. not sure how effective.. if i owned a property i surely would get an aircon. it is an investment for life… even though summers are not long they are intense….

We've got a reconditioned portable AC unit (hose goes out the window) @Schildpad and I can honestly say I am so happy my sister bought it! We don't have it on all the time, but it's on enough on very hot days to make things bearable. A very good investment.

Morning everyone. It's a bit of a breeze here but still blue sky and hot and no rain.
@Amberpearl sorry you couldn't sleep. Im often up until the early hours, it's normally quieter. I watch American shows im watching rookies and Chicago meds at the moment. I have nightmares, I don't seem to have them or member them if I go to bed late, and watching tv actually switches other things off. I hope you get a better sleep tonight.

That sounds interesting @luvpink, what happens at the pain cafe? Is it just to meet others with pain or do you get some guidance and strategies for coping too?

@Rosie_Scope,thank you, i got some broken sleep, unfortunately my dog got into the bin, which had smoked kippers in it, still in the packaging, he got through the plastic packaging and ate the lot, very unfortunate effects, lets just say the only breeze of the night, I had watched Jaws late last night too, so had some interesting dreams! he is a pugshui and very greedy.
