    Hi ranald,

Oops and double even triple oops. That never occurred to me. It's been a few years since I heard anyone been misconstrued about slang word for something else. naughty old Hector! or rather naughty old socrates. have to try and be more mindful in future. thanks for that. Cheers mate. ๐Ÿ‘

Excellent. Typical Scottish humour. Typical of fergie as well. Just can't imagine socrates with accent. Like something out of monty python.

I do remember Miller. I also remember fergie at Aberdeen. Don't quote me on this, but in his 1st week there he almost got sacked for telling the long standing tea lady where to go, if you get my drift. Anyways true what you say bout yesteryears. They'll never come back. Too much money. See you soon.

Well this thread seems to have gone away from the original topic.

Maybe I'm just being overwhelmed with information or maybe just overwhelmed with stress and I can't think straight at all right now, but I'm confused again about what is going to happen to current claimants of LCWRA with no PIP.

Can anyone help clear my head on this a bit?

Hi @geckobat, the Work Capability Assessment isn't due to be scrapped until 2028, this is when some changes are likely to come in. From what I understand, current LCWRA claimants who don't qualify for PIP will then be given transitional protection which will erode over time.

Until 2028, things will be staying as they are for current claimants. You'll continue to receive the full amount of LCWRA and it'll also continue to rise with inflation.

    Thank you Rosie.

Does the transitional protection just mean help for a short time and then I'm on my own? More or less. If I didn't qualify for PIP.

Also, since they changed the bill name, was there still to be changes to the PIP assessment? I've gotten so confused these last few days.

Hi, erm.. Not sure I understand your question, but it was my understanding that lwcra is only given to people on esa benefits (old style or new). Lwcra as far as I know isn't given to pip recipients. Pip is mainly for help with everyday needs nowt to do with work. I might be wrong though. Could you try Google it perhaps?

Sorry for my answer, just read Rosie comment. I was completely unaware all this time about pip and lwcra. Learn something new everyday. It's certainly got me thinking. Much appreciated, thanks for that.

No worries. Yeh LCWRA is part of Universal Credit, what the bill is about but I just feel all over the place trying to figure out what they're actually planning now. It doesn't feel like anything is really set in stone.

filling migration form in it asks to put money into current account whereas my ESA goes into HSBC flexi saver, do i need to have it go in current account as it doesn't seem i can.. as then it asks if i have another account (flexi saver) where ESA goes in.. Surely as migration is, it's not about changing bank accounts.

I couldn't say for sure but as UC seems to be all about linking benefits to any earnings - and ultimately they always planned to make it about spying on our financial activity - it wouldn't surprise me if they only accept current account details ๐Ÿ™„

Having said that, Google tells me there should be no problem having your UC paid into a savings account.
