Totally lost on this one, so any knowledge gratefully received

Claimed UC on Sunday 20th July (deadline was 24th) … even with a driving licence I failed to verify identity online. Today had a Biographical appointment on the phone … couldn't remember dates, so have a JC appointment on Tuesday

My question is, when does my ESA Support Claim end and the UC claim start.

From Sunday 20th or when my identity is verified ?

Thanks in Advance

Legacy benefits stop when you apply for UC.

ESA often doesn't stop when it should. Many people end up with a UC overpayment due to the overlap. But you should still get one last ESA payment as the 2-week run on.

UC starts as soon as you submit the claim. Your AP's should be 20th to 19th of each month. Your first UC payment should be August 26th.

Um, so I applied for UC, after I got the UC migration letter 9 July, on 20th July I was sorting through my to-do-list and I noticed there that there was a section called "other benefits affecting your universal credit", now previously I never really paid attention to this because on my to-do-list it says my to-do-list is empty.

    On this tab it says

Some benefits can affect how much Universal Credit you receive. Our records show that you are not getting any of these benefits.

Benefits that can affect Universal Credit are:

    Jobseeker's Allowance

    Employment and Support Allowance

    etc.

Well my migration is from ESA support group with SDP to UC with transition protection, but this tab says that I am not receiving ESA support, and that if "you are actually getting one or more of these benefits, you must contact the office you claim them from. Tell them you're now getting Universal Credit and to update their records."

What does this actually mean, I told them when I applied for UC that it was a migration from ESA in the support group with SDP to UC, but I didn't contact the office I claim from?

The decision of what I am getting will only be completed on 11 August.

I tried phoning the DWP contact number on my ESA annual letter and it does not offer the option to speak to the office you claim from, instead it either splits you into a UC migration support or a DWP number?

Tried querying this in my journal 7 days ago, 20th July and still not heard a response?

Your ESA has now ended because you claimed UC.

It's a poorly worded message, if you don't get any other benefits then there is nothing you need to do.

It's a reminder that if you do get other benefits, to tell that office 🙄 Even though with migration, UC do all the work with ESA 🙄
