Newbie looking for advice re employment

Hi folks, I'm new here. I'm in my mid 50s with a chronic back condition which now means I need crutches to get about. Nearly three years ago I lost my job as a result of this and have been trying to manage the constant pain and the changes that have arisen. I receive the lowest level of PIP but I am struggling financially. I need a job but can't stand for long or sit for long without huge discomfort. I have no idea what I might be able to do.
Anyone else find themselves in this position?

    Hi @Poicoi and welcome to the community! So, there are a couple of things I can suggest here. It might be worth speaking to a benefits advisor to understand if there are any further benefits you can claim to support you. If you're not presently on universal credit, this might be an option to help with low income. You could contact either Citizens Advice or Turn2us (who also have a great benefits calculator you could use).
