Apologies for any distress caused @Schildpad your comments had triggered our keyword filter, so they were queued up for us to check. You should have received a notification when you posted that said something along the lines of "You comment is now waiting to be approved" which shows it's in the comment queue. Of course we only work 10am to 6pm, so they'll only be released during those hours.
The filter has had to be put in place to comply with the new Online Safety Act, so we are limited to what we can do, but we are looking into ways of streamlining things.
Apologies again.0 -
I think you're a strong person for being able to realise that about your old friends, and even more so for not denying the situation.
I'm sure you've thought this through already, but when it comes to insurance, is it an option not to have it? As I understand it, if someone was in an absolutely critical condition, most countries would do a bare minimum, before sending you away. Like I say you've probably looked into it already and it wouldn't surprise me if being insured was a condition of entering some countries. 🙁
This sounds stupid, but via a new friend I've gotten into cinema recently. It's something I never thought I'd enjoy (at first I did it to spend time with a friend) but now I like it. My friend often goes on her own and keeps encouraging me to do the same. The chain I go to is quite disability-friendly, as well.
Furthermore, you can often watch concerts at the cinema. I didn't get the idea, it seems like a cross between watching a band playing "live" on YouTube… but I watched a film recently where a concert scene was part of the film and it was great… I can see why people do it
I hope the fire brigade visit goes well and isn't too distressing. Are you anxious about what they'll identify, or more just about tolerating the visit with anxiety and stuff?

afternoon and soon evening…. hope you are all ok.. i am laying down in bed in pain. but overall it could be a lot worse… i have one thing coming up. the agency need to check the lights in my place.. i really really hate when people have to visit my place. i do not feel comfortable but i have no choice as they have to do it every now and then by law. so i do not need to be at home but as i do not trust people i will stay at home even if that means i might be late or miss all together the place i am volunteering on Wednesdays. they know already but i do not like to miss those places but at the same time i can not leave home knowing people might be in my place.. anyway one of those things only people with anxiety will get it… but i can not help it.. i mean if i see them tomorrow early i will just tell them to do my place first but i am not sure as they tend to be late. so i feel i will miss my wednesday volunteering.. anyways… hope you have a nice afternoon.. if weather is nice.. it has been a bit mixed…. raining and good weather… i hope tomorrow will be all nice just in case if i can leave the house…. i will see.. but yes i hate it hate it hate it…

another message disappearing….. i give up…. it is pointless… i guess all my messages are negative.. so scope does not like them…. well.. i can only be honest…. and will always be honest…….

i will not be sending any messages anymore other than very short and positive even though i will not be telling the truth. it seems the system Scope uses does not like my messages so i will be very short and not elaborating anymore….

Yeah my friend says the cinema seem to be recycling lots of stuff. I guess as someone who is quite new to it I'm lucky as it's all new experiences to me. My friend says she's worried about the future as less and less people go, which is obviously nice when you're there but not sustainable as a business
Your dog looks so kind. I know what you mean. We have a Border Collie and I've never been too tactile with him because with severe OCD I couldn't touch him, so he knows his boundaries with me. However, I came home and burst into tears yesterday and he came up to me and tried to nuzzle onto my lap and just wanted to know what was going on ❤️

I only have Freeview and it is always the same. Same stuff over and over again ..... considering Netflix.. but maybe it is the same.. repeat after repeat....

Hi @Schildpad, I've popped you a direct message about the spam filter. Sorry about that - It's extra sensitive at the minute. Regarding Netflix, I've noticed the top 10 and new films/series changes quite often these days so I find there's always something to watch 😊

i have not gone to the cinema for a very long time but there is nothing interesting.. maybe around covid times i think.. i want to go back but there is nothing interesting. in order to feel at home one has to like the place you live at the moment i hate it but i hope i will one day move. i would love to own my own place so i do not have to accept all these unwelcome people.. even if it is done by law i just do not like it… having to tidy up the room so the agency does not complaint etc.. in case someone from the agency comes… it is all anxiety and stress..

i am not sure.. sometimes i like the idea of not having tv.. i probably would read more etc… it is true sometimes i am with the computer and having it as a background noise. i am not sure i can live with out it. or it would be very hard. and the older i get the more i appreciate it in the back ground.. it is not just the sound but the images as well.. but maybe it would take some efford and ii would be able to do more stuff.. but maybe tv license will be harassing me and not believe i do not have a tv…. i am not sure but i thought about it in the pass. i know of a person who does not have a tv… he relies in internet… etc…

I'm having a small whisky as not had one for a good while. I went for Deanston 12 year old mostly as it was at the front of my whisky cupboard but it's half empty so I must like it. It's nice so far 😊

I kind of get that, depending on the program I guess you can engage with it as much as you want or feel up to?
Do you like to watch stuff you know, or are you happy watching things you haven't seen?
I often watch the same videos on YouTube before I go to sleep, I guess because they're safe as I know what happens. I say watch but I mean listen to as watching keeps me awake, but I watch compilations of stuff like the Top Gear News, or Ricky Gervais Show 😆

Sounds like a diverse mix 😊
That's interesting about military.. is that something from your past or just an interest? Of course goes without saying please don't answer if not comfortable. I always would have liked some kind of military career if I'd never had health issues, I kind of liked the sound of the community and the culture

Good morning everyone
@Grumpy1314 thanks for sharing that family history, very interesting to read 😊
I've never known much about military service in my family because those who were still alive when I was born were too young to serve in WW2. I do have a relative who grew up in a very middle class family - learnt how to drink tea from a teapot and always wore a hat outside etc. When he was called up it was a shock to his system seeing men eating their breakfast wearing a vest at the table and swearing, and he said after the inevitable first few weeks of being ribbed for being the posh boy he absolutely loved it

Good morning.
We had a bit of rain here and now the sun has made an appearance.
I have to go for a full body bone density scan today to see if I have osteoporosis and I am meeting friends later.
I hope you all manage to have a good day.
