as we’ve been having a proper summer this year here’s a few photos of a couple of days out. The last photo is called the dinosaur, can you see why it’s called that

    Hey @Pandapaws … hope you're well. Thanks

Awesome work again on your cats. The way you breathe life into the eyes is such a hard art to master but you've nailed it. Plus every single bit of fur looks so real. Kudos

I'm read my wife is itching or me to do the table but I've got about as much energy as a stone right now 😀 Not to mention the fibro flare up from hell kicking my butt.

It will be done the next couple of weeks, just got to prepare the planks

    A few projects I've done

A coffee table Timber from a neighbour's pergola they were taking down. Dried, planed and jointed before assembling. Dyed a walnut stain then blow torch to get character

A chopping board made from an old plank

A set of coasters (which I'm not happy with … )

… don't hold your breath for a dining table you may turn blue 🤣

hi @WelshBlue , thank you so much for your lovely compliment too.
WOW! am loving your woodwork/resin they look amazing! Plus the last photo looks fantastic OMG! Sorry can’t think of the word for the things inside the resin lol! Got cog fog.

Am sorry about your flare up! I really empathise with you asI have Fibro too along with neurological disorder. Your body just says Nope! Not gonna happen today.

I have no doubt that you will get the table done at some point. I won’t be turning blue, but am hoping the table will be lol.

Hope you get back to better days soon

Do we have any keen knitters here on the community?

I ordered my first pair of knitting needles (10mm) and a thick chunky wool last week, I followed a youtube tutorial and managed to cast on but I couldn't get any further than that!!!

Does anybody have any good tips or tricks they can share please?

Loving the Lego there! I have a few friends who're really into their big Lego sets.

I won a 3D printer a few months ago and have really gotten into it, so my painting shed is now covered in prints that need painting. But here's one guy I just finished. Captain Titus from the Space Marine computer games. I've put one of the minis I usually paint on the base, just to show how big he is!

Finally started a river dining table - miscalculated the volume, have had to buy £34 worth of resin just for £6 worth to level it out 😡

Hardest part was teaching my wife to use power tools 'cos my grip is non existent this week … I can't remember that last time she swore at me, but made up for it this week 😂

Stage 1 of about 6 more hours of prep before conditioning the wood before staining and hard wax oil. Table is made of 5 inch planks glued and biscuited together, and split with an axe for a more natural look

Images don't do it justice of how vibrant the copper is …

Next update will the the finished item, or a copy of my divorce papers …

@WelshBlue that’s looking great so far. I’m sure your wife probably felt better after swearing at you 🤣😂 it’s a good form of release! My hubby teaches me how to use tools and he is quite patient as he knows my brain 🧠 doesn’t function that well. lol, I get quite frustrated if I can’t do it right.

Looking forward to seeing the next stage of the table

@Pandapaws … thanks … it will get there. It's been planned for months, but the body has always laughed at the mind.

Your husband sounds a better man than me. I've always been lucky to be good with my hands, could do anything, be it with wood, metal, cars, electrics etc

Now frustration and grieving for the old me sets in. Therefore, absolutely no patience and too much of a perfectionist … she was in a no win situation. But took to it fairly well for a first time and me harumphing behind her 😁

The neighbours had a good chuckle whilst we had a domestic and my parentage was called into question. Along with other words that the post filter here would need a dark room to recover from it's so sensitive …

All in good fun. Although she couldn't quite understand how when working with wood - your fingertips will always tell you more than your eyes

but like in all aspects of my life - would be lost without her
