I've deleted a few social media apps off my phone for the past week or so to stop me endlessly scrolling (especially in the evening and night!!) but I've realised that I need to keep my hands occupied when I'm watching a TV show/film/youtube so I decided to give colouring a go!!
I've had adult colouring books before but a lot of them were mandala's or very intricate patterns and as you can see I'm not the neatest colourer😅😅 so I always found them more frustrating than calming! But I saw this one book and thought it looked a bit more up my street because it was fun pictures and less intricate🤣
This was one I did last night when I was watching a few Youtube videos and I did find it really calming😄
I've also been doing wordsearches again in the evening/night but a photo of that is less interesting visually to post🤣1 -
That looks awfully cute! I wonder if you notice a difference with being off the apps, but coloring instead…

Tomorrow my friend is celebrating her 50th birthday and I knitted her these tiny banners. She emailed me to let me know they have arrived and she loves them. She loves them so much she put them in the toilet (bathroom, not down the loo, obv) and then asked if that was okay. LOL!

Your banner is lovely @SmellyBin and looks great against the white wall.
Take care.

That's so cute @SmellyBin! Handmade gifts are always extra special. How long does it take you to knit something like that?
1 -
Thanks both! I think it took me three or four days. The flags are tiny, about 5 cm or 2 inches wide. And I've decided to knit a set for myself as well. No hurry though, knitting a few when I come across scraps of yarn. This is really a no-brainer project which I sometimes need. Mine will be hanging in the garden one day…

I think so @SmellyBin! I definitely find going to sleep a lot easier and I'm a lot more productive without them😂
I like your banner, it's very colourful and summery! How is your banner for your garden coming along?1 -
No no no @Mary_Scope no need to be productive! But I hope you're enjoying yourself with the coloring.
I've got about 28 tiny flags now, probably need 40 or 45.

I especially love the duck @loony. That's great that you'll try anything. I think people often shy away from certain things because they don't feel like they'll be good enough. I always encourage people to try something!

Here’s one of my poems with drawing

I love that! I imagined being in the cottage and hearing the sounds you described. Great imagery 😊 I would love a cottage by a stream.
