UC Appointee Issues

I recently received my UC migration notice, and applied right away online, today we had the phone call, my mother took and handled the call for me since she's my appointee, after the phone call was over, we got another telling her that the benefit has to be paid into her account, before, ESA and PIP was able to be paid into my own.
For UC to pay it into my own, do I have to essentially have my mother relinquish appointee? I do think I can handle the claim myself with a small bit of help at times if most of the communication is done through the journal, it's phone calls I find difficult, but if most questions are yes or no answers, I feel like I could handle it.
What's sufficient enough proof that I no longer need an appointee? Can I show bank statements which show I pay a phone contract monthly, do online purchases? As I don't want to end up in a loop of needing appointees, I even went into bank because my mother phoned them up again after seeing how stressed I got being told it'll have to be paid into an account in her name. There's no bad relationship between us, it's just the fact I rely heavily on it for online purchases (I'm not comfortable going into shops most of the time, and usually need someone with me), and even opening a joint account may have issues in the future given my mother isn't young.
We will be ringing up first thing in the morning, I just need advice and what I have to do for now, for now I've been keeping my own account on the UC claim hoping this can be dealt with quickly. Has anyone else had experience where UC doesn't want to pay into the claimant's account even know on prior benefits, they had no issue with it? For reference I'm from Northern Ireland.

Also, to clarify why I went into the bank, it was to do some kind of a confirmation with them but my bank wouldn't act on the request as they only handle stuff like that if there's a power of attorney or however its spelt involved.

Scope has an information page:
Yes it's normal with UC that the money would go into an appointee's bank account.

I read through that but seen they only really want to remove needing an appointee entirely if you can prove you can handle your claim without one. I'm more or less asking what way I can go about that, all I have as proof is that I can consistently pay my phone bill and online purchases without going into an overdraft with reckless spending (I'm very careful how I spend).

Would being able to handle my banking myself be enough proof as well? As I can check it up online these days so there's very little need for me to phone the bank or go in.

I have a joint account with my daughter and they are supposed to making her first payment into it tomorrow. She can then withdraw the money or transfer it to her own account. We found this was the easiest way to meet the criteria that UC wanted and for daughter to have some independence.

I honestly might do that as it might be the least stressful option for myself, especially if I can still get a debit card for it so I can use it.

Can you tell me how you put that bank account in? It said "Name or Names" so we put in both of our names, and idk, if that's triggering the UC to request additional permission again, this is so stressful honestly. My mother has access to the account, her name is on it, and they're still wanting the bank to confirm it. :'(

we were both with the same bank so we were able to do it online. We just had to be both logged on at the same time. Otherwise you should be able to do it in the branch.

Sorry did you mean whose name did I put down on universal information. I’m sure it was our daughter’s name and I may of added that it was a joint account in the journal notes.

Yea, we opened it on the bank via my online banking app, and were assisted by the workers, but that was the account only, then when home, we updated UC on the details and let them know that there was a joint account added, what do you have to actually say to the bank for them to step in and deal with UC for you? As we don't know, UC won't explain to my mom what she needs exactly and it's getting frustrating for both of us.

Yea, we put both my mother's and my own name down in the names section, I don't know if that's causing issue or not, they're being really stubborn with us.

aw no way, fortunately for us I did our daughters migration and to be honest it went really smoothly. I must of been one of the lucky ones. Hope you get sorted.

Surprisedly they got back to me today, the person on the journal says it's fine the way we inputted the new bank detail, I'm just waiting for them to set up an appointment seemly for us to verify this account or something, I'm not 100% sure, I hope it isn't too much of a hassle to get sorted.
