In need of a new double bed

HI I'm disabled and I have a separate bed in another room and I am in need of a new double bed is there anyone who could help me please

    I am a newbie on here I’ve noticed people like yourself ask a question one of the forum leaders leaves a link from what I can see the links are unhelpful and then nothing happens.

    have a look at my post. Not trying to be confrontational but my stroke was in 2017 so plenty of experience. Before my first post I had a look around. To be honest this thread is a good enough. A couple of links were left for OP. He says thanks for links then he dissapeared. Seems to happen a lot.
    id hoped for more from Scope . I had the same from Stroke Association they send you a load of links when you contact they give you a load of links. Round and round you go.
    I see CAB being recommended. In my early days I was struggling with electricity bills. Phone CAB took me a while but it turns out CAB gets donations from energy companies . There’s a call centre in Plymouth a CAB/Ovo, CAB/Octopus, CAB/EDF all operate out of there so you are at first assuming you are talking to nice lady from CAB but you’re talking to employee from debt collection of energy company. All the links I was given were of no help you end up on nice website normally with cartoon renderings of chap in wheelchair etc and link on there “need knew furniture to improve your quality of life , remain independent ? Click , a retail website appears selling really expensive beds , wet room conversions even grab handles are expensive.
    im asking because my only income is benefits every 28 days.
    im still improving because ive remained independent. Currently all i need is a few grab rails put in and my bed is too low.

    Not every poster returns to give an outcome or to request further help.

    I'm not sure anyone is at fault here, advice was asked for and signposting given. What further action do you feel Scope should have taken?

    In your case I'd suggest looking for a contact number for your local social services who can arrange the needs assessment, rather than getting nowhere with online forms (some local authorities use really dire systems!).

    For the bed you can get furniture risers to raise the height, which are not expensive although I appreciate you might need help putting them in place.

    I personally manage with an extra deep mattress, this raises the height of the bed and enables me to get out easier.
