I lose concentration really easily. At 3pm I was sat with my phone waiting. At 3:01pm when it went off I'd forgotten all about it and it made me jump.

I was expecting this and it still made me jump out of my skin when it went off! 😅

Can you imagine the conspiracy theories if they did? Plenty of people already think the government have the resources to be watching their every move! 😄

Mine went off at 3.01 on a fairly old smartphone. Phone was in my pocket at the time and I barely heard it! Just felt it vibrate against my leg while I was doing another task. I am currently deaf on that side due to a recurring ear issue but still expected it to be louder. Didn't make me jump or anything. There was also a voice saying something but I couldn't make any words out from my pocket.

Mine wasn't very loud either, I was expecting it to be much louder. But like a couple of you, it still made me jump.

And I clicked OK to stop the alarm before I'd properly read the message that goes with it, so I don't know how useful that would be in a real emergency!

Well - the government are currently deciding whether to make, carrying ID compulsory - in light of the immigrant problem - so it would not take much more to add a tracking chip to any ID card …

    Just a thought !

True. But they would need massive server rooms to process the location data for 70 million people all at the same time and they don't have the resources for that.

Honestly though, the government don't care about you. They don't care about me. They don't care about 99% of people in the UK…

It's hard for them to think about us, when burying their snouts in the trough. 🐽
