Migration grom IR ESA to UC

My migration was done back in July, it was a 3 month nightmare & when I thought it was finally over in July I recieved a letter saying I was now recieving New Style ESA & would have to attend a claimant commitment & would recieve a call. All my assessments etc have always been home visits or calls. But I was more shocked that I had been recueving cont based esa & ir esa. So since July I recieve £281.10 every 2 wks & a monthly UC payment with £609.05 deducted. So I stupidly thought all this migration thing was finished, wrong! Out of the blue this morn 3 months after recueving the letter I had a call from the job centre, straight away panic anxiety...I was told I need to do a claimant commitment call over the phone. I explained I have a support worker who helps me, as I panic with questions stumble if I'm put on the spot. So this lady from job centre who was very nice said not to worry & booked me for 28th Oct 10.15/10.30am. I asked what I would be asked & she said name NI number DOB, I asked how long call would take, she said 20/30 mins. It defo will not take that long to answer those questions, so what else will I be asked? The migration a 3 month hell with calls forms & eventually a DWP home visit. I had 2 support workers & my MP involved as it was such a mess & when think finally its done, this happens.

Both my support workers are busy, but my husband will be here, but ges undergoing treatment for cancer & hasnt been very well, so I dont to stress him.

I have felt sick day taken 15 mils of diazepam & still cant relax.

Can anyone advise what will happen over the phone? I did tell the lady from the job centre I was in the support group & she said she already knew.

It will be a very quick call, you will confirm your personal details & agree your commitments, which will be the same as UC to keep them informed of any changes.

Read through these threads for details of how others found this call:

Thank you so much for reply. What I'm totally confused by is I have been in reciept of this New Style ESA since migration in July & the letter was recieved in July. Is it normal to wait 3 months for this call? I honestly dont think the DWP are aware of the stress & anxiety all this causes, I could just about breathe when the call came this morning out of the blue & how they expected me to remember a letter sent 3 months ago I really dont know. I have to check my phone every morning to know what date it is & day of the week, where my memory as deteriorated so much. I just wish now I had said do it tomorrow as the job centre lady first offered, but I wanted my support worker present, who cant be with me due to prior commitments. At least it would have over tomorrow instead now I'll be anxious until 28th & no idea of how I'll be, even though the links say its easy & quick. My mind will not switch off.

    Thank you

I know of a few people on another forum who have been waiting a few months for the same appointment.

It'll be down to workload at individual Job Centres, as of 31 September (brought forward from the original date of 31 December) all migration letters have now been sent, so the numbers migrating have been high for a few months as the DWP worked through the remaining claimants.
