FIDELIO Project Falling in the lives of adults with Cerebral Palsy
FIDELIO Project
Falling in the lives of adults with Cerebral Palsy: Taking action to prevent, manage, and support through the life course
Can you help the University of Nottingham and Scope?
Purpose of the study is to collect information about:
- Why adults with cerebral palsy fall, trip, stumble – from standing, from a wheelchair, while transferring (e.g. from wheelchair to bed)
- Consequences of the fall/trip/stumble – physical, emotional, social, economic
- Assistance, services and strategies used (in past and present) to reduce and manage falls and fear of falls
We want to talk to people with cerebral palsy:
- Age groups: young age (18-34), middle age (35-49), older age (50-64)
- Location: communities in England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland
- Have the capacity to consent and participate
Different ways to participate and communicate
Adults with CP can take part in our interviews in different ways, including:
- over Zoom/Teams
