you're right in my case anyway, I didn't want to even take UC and CB ESA it's the Fourth time I've been shifted in 25 years, if this becomes a law and applies to existing claimants then I'll not be claiming it, being harassed and threatened to do things that aren't even possible just to have it cut off in a maximum of a year anyway no way. I won't get into my personal fine details but will say the days of them literally causing me to actively plan a way out and more than once actually try it are over.

I believe they'll be a lot of playing up again by unions, Backbenchers campaigners etc even the suggestion has already caused waves regarding human rights, discrimination etc.

Funny that because I also think those (and there are many it seems) of us who've only just found out during moving to UC that we are now also on ESA CB despite it making little sense were put there ready for the sneaky and spiteful upcoming changes too, but I've already told my mum who's my appointee if it does become law and effects existing claimants that I'd sooner take my chances without it.

I know in the green paper they said "new claimants" but they can't ve trusted and with everything else they've tried failing they'll want to try pushing this further.

Can you clarify and provide a reliable source:

"I believe the "Unemployment Insurance" concerns only current claimants on New Style ESA, which in turn only concerns claimants on Contribution based ESA, which I don't think is your case, provided I'm not wrong. Claimants with LCWRA status on Universal Credit or Employment and Support Allowance (ESA) will not be transferred on to "Unemployment Insurance"

Surely UI cannot affect "only current claimants." What about future claimants? Moreover, as was stated in a muddy passage in the Green Paper, it was only to apply to "new claimants".

Sorry to sound stupid but can you explain that if we are on new style esa on support we won't be moved over to unemployment insurance and have to work. When I first signed onto esa in 2018, after my carers allowance finished when my mum died. It was cb which ran out and I was put on income related esa.

the white paper was axed on October the 30th, they obviously didn't feel confident they'd get it through so are now trying their hand bit by bit slowly rather than altogether.

So what about those in the support group, who have been put in the new style esa and uc

Been in a lot of pain with my joints. Especially my legs .
