What ive found concerning is new style esa being changed to unemployment insurance ? Ok its 2028 2029 why no outrage on this ?? Literally thousands wont apply if im correct or maybe im wrong

you're right in my case anyway, I didn't want to even take UC and CB ESA it's the Fourth time I've been shifted in 25 years, if this becomes a law and applies to existing claimants then I'll not be claiming it, being harassed and threatened to do things that aren't even possible just to have it cut off in a maximum of a year anyway no way. I won't get into my personal fine details but will say the days of them literally causing me to actively plan a way out and more than once actually try it are over.
I believe they'll be a lot of playing up again by unions, Backbenchers campaigners etc even the suggestion has already caused waves regarding human rights, discrimination etc.

Alot can happen between now and 2029, I see no point in losing sleep over this in 2025.

They do things so sneakily dont they scrapping wca is taking all rights away from us really is yes its a while away but good to get information out there as scary as it is

I know !! Im thinking is that why they made alot of us onto new style esa when we always thought income related ao when time comes we are put onto unemployment insurance and then have 3 months to find other benefits ??? So what about MR will they be scrapped seriously we are near 2026 this will come in no time looked at dpac other charities not much nosie about any of it

Funny that because I also think those (and there are many it seems) of us who've only just found out during moving to UC that we are now also on ESA CB despite it making little sense were put there ready for the sneaky and spiteful upcoming changes too, but I've already told my mum who's my appointee if it does become law and effects existing claimants that I'd sooner take my chances without it.
I know in the green paper they said "new claimants" but they can't ve trusted and with everything else they've tried failing they'll want to try pushing this further.

Can you clarify and provide a reliable source:
"I believe the "Unemployment Insurance" concerns only current claimants on New Style ESA, which in turn only concerns claimants on Contribution based ESA, which I don't think is your case, provided I'm not wrong. Claimants with LCWRA status on Universal Credit or Employment and Support Allowance (ESA) will not be transferred on to "Unemployment Insurance"
Surely UI cannot affect "only current claimants." What about future claimants? Moreover, as was stated in a muddy passage in the Green Paper, it was only to apply to "new claimants".

Actually what happened is helped by clear as mud ESA award letters, people were mistaken about their ESA awards only finding out after migration.
ESA began in 2008.
I transferred from Incapacity Benefit to ESA in 2010 and my CB ESA entitlement dated from then.
So it won't have anything to do with
a) Universal Credit which was proposed in 2010 with it going live in 2013
or
b) These proposed changes to time limit CB/NS ESA which either very recently originated with Labour, or with the previous Government 1-2 years ago.
I'm no fan of any Government when it comes to welfare, but I'd rather put the facts out there and stick to blaming them where there is in fact blame 😝

OOh Fantastic !!! Yes get it done and dusted online claims apparently done quicker remember can get sars form from doctors can go back years of medical history they say don't put doctors letter in I always do keep us updated write every little detail from morning to night

Sorry to sound stupid but can you explain that if we are on new style esa on support we won't be moved over to unemployment insurance and have to work. When I first signed onto esa in 2018, after my carers allowance finished when my mum died. It was cb which ran out and I was put on income related esa.
