Hey @Nightcity, I've been waiting on an ablation for a while now and at my many appointments with cardio I've posed almost every anxious thought and scenario to them 😅

Apparently while there's no direct comparison as they involve different groups, statistically giving birth is riskier than a heart ablation! It's considered a very low risk procedure and would only be done if the rewards is deeed to outweigh any potential risk! ❤️

I'd love to know how she gets on and sending kind thoughts to both of you ❤️❤️

Thanks so much, I hope you get yours through soon we've waited since may even though it was marked urgent following the cardiac arrest in March.

I really appreciate your post 💛💛

I will be thinking of you and your mum @Nightcity! I suppose the wait may have been to give her time to recover a little before undergoing more stress? How has she been since her cardiac arrest?

Thanks, I'll be thinking of you too and here for you in return when you get your procedure date.

She's unhealthily calm about it, she realises the odds of surviving are 1 in 20 and how stupendously lucky she was but she isn't worried about retrying the kidney transplant op (this is when it happened) so what should have been a great day became a dreadful one.

I in contrast can't forget it live in constant fear and paranoia about a repeat, she is so amazing and brave.

how you feeling about your current situation? you calm and stable with pulse etc

    Hey @Nightcity ❤️

I don't think I'm ever calm and stable 😅 I've actually had a date come up twice and cancelled and postponed both times, not because I'm scared of the proceedure but because of having to go to the hospital and all the 'social' side of getting it done

I've got an amazing cardiologist though who has been so patient with me, I'm back on the list again now and they reckon about 6 months so I've been trying to do more things in the hopes I'll be able to attend!!!

It's your mum's appointment this week isn't it??? Will be thinking of both of you ❤️❤️❤️

    Heya

    sorry for the slow response.

It was today I'm waiting for a message any minute of what's what and appreciate you caring and remembering.

    I hope you're ok.

AHH I understand that well I cancel most things either through fear or my autism in general. 💛💜

I made myself physically and mentally ill like I always do over most things lol

but I'm fine today thanks 💛

mums a little sore but otherwise good thanks, her BP and pulse have already entered normal safe levels instead of one being consistently dangerously low and the other high, The letter from her team suggests it was a success and they are happy.

They're now forensically studying the chain of events from march to try and work out exactly what sent the pulse to a fatal and rare rate of 185 bpm, because she had general anesthetic again yesterday that's now ruled out.

They're hoping by February when she goes back for a follow up to 100% say it won't and can't happen again.

Has it stayed consistently at around 185 since March @Nightcity? I know how awful I feel when mine goes into SVT and I couldn't imagine having that sustained!!

I'm glad it was all sucessful and you're both doing good today❤️

No it was a dangerous one off, the average was 95-130 which is tachycardia, apparently normal is 60-85

it's now 65-75 for the first time in 3 years so now we are hoping the heart failure will reverse as AF is ons of the (thankfully); reversible types of Heart Failure. The ejection facture is 35 they want it back to at least 50.

Thanks for your kindness and support and hope you'll get your procedure done and feel better soon. 💛🫂
