HELP ME | Cerebral palsy
Greetings ! I have cerebral palsy and I am very tired of living.
I have depression and apathy.....
Are there any moms who also have children with cerebral palsy.
I wonder if you could give me moral support.
It's very difficult when you don't have someone to turn to with questions.

Hi @Alexxxis
It's good to meet you. I live with cerebral palsy too. I'm also a parent. Have you reached out to your GP to discuss how you are feeling?
I will happily try to answer any questions that you may have.

Hi! I'm 23, I don't have any friends.

Nice to meet you too!
I haven't seen a doctor.
I'm from a post-Soviet country.
Here such delicate things are treated with disdain.

Hi @Alexxxis
I'm Sara and have right sided CP and epilepsy. It's lovely to have you on the community.
These disabilities can take it's toll and there are days I feel exhausted, but on the good days I try to find moments that make me happy or just smile. This can be spending time with family, watching Christmas movies or comedy on TV.
I'm a mum to a grown up son, age 21. Parenting with a disability was tough, but I found a way. Once my son understood how I did things, he helped me and it helped him to learn as well.
Our CP community are here to support you. Please get in touch if you need to talk.
Take care.

Hello! Today I feel a kind of emptiness again..... Honestly, I'm so tired.

So sorry you're feeling an emptiness today. Do you do any self-care? Maybe listen to music or watch your favourite film? I'm burning a red raspberry scented candle today that's helping me feel calm.

Hi @Alexxxis
How are you today?
It's not unusual for people with CP to have periods of depression and anxiety. When I experience low moods, I sit with the feelings and acknowledge them for what they are. I have found writing in a personal journal a good outlet. I have a very understanding family who I can talk with. Do you have anyone you can turn to?
I find listening to music shifts my thoughts and puts me in the moment. As I mentioned before, I love a cheesy Christmas movie at this time of year.
If you really are struggling with your mental health, please get in touch with your GP.

Hi @Alexxxis
I'm sorry to hear you are still struggling. Did you speak to your GP after Christmas? I'm wondering where in the UK you live, as we have face to face meetings throughout the year.
