You mean the decorations are cats, or they're decorations that are safe for cats?

Three times I've had two cats, and three times they didn't get along. Geez! Because of that and because my apartments are always small here, I've decided to stay with one at a time. Here is a Christmas mug some girlfriends bought me last year....

Isn't that adorable? "Miau" is how they spell meow in Spanish. Weird, eh?! 😁

    Yeah? That's funny!!

Since you're into Christmas villages, I found a really nice video for you of one of my favourites here where I live, in Malaga. "Belén" means Christmas village in Spanish. "Ayuntamiento" means City Hall in Spanish. So the video title says this Christmas village is at City Hall. It's last year's version. Every year is new.

Christmas villages are all over the city, and both Christians and non-Christians just love them. I've never seen any Christmas villages like these in Canada, where I lived before moving here. The detail is spectacular.

The music is added to this video and is not a part of the real scene. It's super annoying, I think. So you might want to mute it, like I did. See what you think...

My birthday is late November & my dad always put the tree & decs up for then. 😍 I still try to & this year was a significant birthday 😭 but my niece came over & put up my lights & the tree up earlier, so that I could decorate over the following few days. Must admit, it's the lights & decs I love about Xmas. Also love when folk do their windows & outdoors, as it's not really for them, it's for us passing & it always lifts my mood. Here's some of mine…

Yes, I have 2 trees, actually, 3, another fibre optic on a table in front of me. Like I said, I love the decs & lights 😆

I had a boss once who was wonderfully generous and kind all year except at Xmas when he became Mr. Meanie and didn't engage with the Xmas spirit at all. I asked him one Xmas "why don't you join in" and he told me people should be kind to each other year round and not just at Xmas. I think that is a good idea.

I thought most people did at the beginning of December. I still haven't got any decorations up! 🙈

@MW123 Thank you for remembering me, I remember you due to excellent advice you gave me. I am well thank you, and I trust that you are well too. I haven't been on the forum much as I haven't had a lot to say. Anyway, here is wishing you and anyone who should read this post a really great Xmas and a brilliant 2026.

I do like Christmas, I liked it better when I was younger with all the parties and dropping in on mate or a crowd. I think more and more people are miserable at this time of the year than they were years ago, they're not up for a good time or maybe they can't afford it. If people want to celebrate Christmas all year and put up decorations, then who am I to get in their way, whatever floats ya boat. Just be happy whether you celebrate or not, but never spoil it for anyone else.

December and not before! They once went up in January for a late visitor 🤣

Holly, mine are still in the box. I've wrapped and given a gift so now there's more mess to clear away before I can blitz the flat and hang up twinkly lights ✨

There are 73 sites with nativity scenes and Christmas villages this year where I live. This is one of them, which is a variety of Nativity scenes from different Latin American countries. To me, this is a beautiful celebration of diversity, through the diverse materials used and artistic perspectives. The representative countries are written on the paper labels. I hope you enjoy these!

(All pics are taken behind glass, so they're a little blurry.)

The Wife put up the Decs about 2 weeks ago now. If it was just me, I wouldn't bother.. as a family we were never bothered by the Decs. My Grandparents had a 2.5ft Led lit Christmas tree that would sit in the corner and we would pile the presents underneath otherwise..

For my wife however I think she likes it as its therapeutic, not so much putting it away again, but still it keeps her out of trouble. My only stipilation to her is that its her Project. I will get the tree down and move things but she puts them up, that way I can't be blamed when something goes wrong.

My son is more 'meh, Look lights, what else is going on?'
