How is your day going?

Wishing everybody a very Happy New Year! I'm a bit 'late to the party', so to speak, but been thinking of everybody over Christmas and the New Year.
I hope you're doing ok @Amberpearl and very glad to read that Joy's recovered from her cold. That must have been very worrying and upsetting it sounds like it was quite severe. Did you have to separate her from your other cats? I can't do that with my dogs so just have to keep everything crossed and hope.
Have you got your window replaced yet? Sounds like you've secured it well in the meantime.
I hope you get your holtor results soon. You've had a lot going on at the same time which can just add to the stress and becomes overwhelming. I hope things are a little more settled for you now 🫂.
I hope you're ok @Catherine21 was thinking of you at your first Christmas without your Fifi. Sorry I've not been on, been a bit overwhelmed with stuff. I found a little (the last bit I think 😪) of my Mr Jones' fur in amongst my Christmas decorations. I'd put/scattered bits of his fur in December 2017, 4 months after he'd passed. Even without his fur always like to feel they're all with us still though.

I'm sorry you've felt so stressed but very pleased Joy's recovered. I can struggle a bit when there's too much going on at once, I can, or try to, only deal with one thing at a time but it's easier said than done!! Hopefully, everything returns to normal next week and your window might get booked in.
I can't remember which ones I was on (for heart) but they were vasodilators which caused flushing as they open/dilate the blood vessels but that side effect I don't remember it being for very long. I hope you get to see your cardiologist soon, if you still have the flushing you could ask them about the dose.
I don't know exactly which utility companies offer grants (British Gas do) but the charity, Turn 2 Us have a link where you can look to see what grants you might be able to apply for. I've not done it but some energy and water companies have I think it's trust funds, where they can grant money, that's not repayable, for energy bills etc. it might be worth you looking at that.
You need to be able to stay warm Amberpearl, especially with your health issues. I've got my heating on a lot at the moment as I do not want double pnuemonia again, goodness knows what my bill will be but for today, I'm not worrying about that.
Take care of yourself.

Hi everyone, hope you're managing to stay warm. We've had a sprinkling of snow but the sun is shining and it's freezing!
@Schildpad sorry you're feeling so anxious. What can you do to help ease it? I have anxiety too and it's so hard to switch off. Remember that it's your brain being unkind.

That's good that you're watching TV, it's a good way to distract your mind. It's such an awful feeling but it will pass and you will get through it.

I wish I had an answer for you @Katiedimelow20. I know it's been a struggle for a while for you. Is the counselling helping you at all? Have you discussed this issue with your counsellor?

@Rachel_Scope the counsellor hasn't started for this new year. Last year of counsellor I have app on my phone called onsen and that what I show about issue with my parents and my mum is still causing issues when I get anxious or stressed out . When went out to Cheshire oaks for shopping. Then they get frustrated both parents .

@Katiedimelow20 definitely mention it to the counsellor once your appointments start again. They're best qualified to help you figure out the best thing to do. In the meantime, are you able to spend some time by yourself/away from your parents so you can relax?
