I hope everyone is doing ok today. It's nice here too but we are still really desperate for some rain. I read we're expecting yet another heatwave over the next week or so. 😫

Hi Holly,
I have strategy if I am not in a good place mentally and physically, I will sit on the bed watching tv on the iPad. Sometimes it can be 3 days.

I can't believe i am admitting to this, but I have now watched the first 3 Bridget Jones films. I'll never get those hours back! 🙄

Good morning everyone. Here we go with the start of the 5th heatwave. 4 days of hatred lol. It's ok but it zaps your energy and not only that but it makes rail travel a no no due to the risk of buckled rails. Day trip for me not decided where I'm off to yet but it'll be on the buses. Hope you all have a nice day and take care out there.

Some rain would be nice but unlikely to happen.

Morning All,
Joy of joys the old bile reflux kicked in while sleeping and again when I woke up. Can’t watch tv in the living room, neighbour downstairs is having her kitchen done, drills are driving me around the bend, must be over 80dcb
Now sat in the bedroom with the iPad on watching Netflix with the door shut. Fed up ain’t the word, going to shut down and keep the old head below the parapet.

That's annoying @Rag_793. Do you have any headphones you can pop in for a bit?

Good morning all!
I'm hoping this will be final heatwave of the summer @Johnboy412000! It feels like it has to be the end of it soon😅 Where did you decide to go on your day trip?
Hope everybody is okay and staying safe in this heat🌞1 -
Hi Holly, I have a set of AirPods but they would only last so long. I used to be ok with loud noises having been to very loud concerts in the past. But now I find them uncomfortable and triggering to say the least.

Sometimes I listen to loud white noise with the noise cancellation setting turned on with my airpods @Rag_793. I find that can be quite helpful in extremely loud environments because even though it doesn't block the noise completely, it still takes away some of the harshness if that makes sense!

If I am out and about in public, I use music or an audio book as a way to block out background noise and distractions.

sorry to hear that your not going through a good time on here

Managed to sit back on the settee watching the tv, but then started to feel tired creeping in. Decided rather than fall asleep on the sofa to sit on the bed watching the iPad

I buy drinks while I'm out.

Plans didn't go as planned lol. I set off to get bus to Bradford but it was a single decker and reasonably full and all windows shut. By the time we got to Brighouse I decided I'd had enough and got off and got a bus to Halifax. hardly anybody on it and windows open lovely breeze lol. Halifax to Bradford was a comfy ride and not too many folks on the bus. Bradford to Leeds it seems the world and his dog prefer to get the X6 cos it's quicker lol. Was nice to get to Leeds lol. Came back on the 72 a longer way round but quieter. X63 back to Huddersfield a double decker and all windows open bliss lol. I soon found out why it was late arriving in Bradford cos on the way back 2 singles and 2 doubles passed us in the op direction lol. Massive roadworks on Bradford Rd faced a lengthy detour to Huddersfield Bus station lol. The Joys of travelling on a war day lol. Hope everyone is coping ok in this heat. Set to get warmer tomorrow and Thursday. Eclipse tomorrow night.

Been enjoying spending some time outside in the sun, went shopping, now relaxing watching some Youtube videos and eating some sweets, looking forward to spending some time on the rowing machine later and then possibly having a beer while watching an old episode of WWF Tuesday Night Titans on the TV. 😊

Morning All,
Looks like today is going to be hotter than an oven, I will be staying inside out of the way.
Only managed a few hours kip which is not good, could do with someone smacking me around the head with a cricket bat a few times.
Spent most of the early hours organising bills and what not. Booked to see Spiderman again on Friday 🤞
I have had to do some serious research since being given my Rollator in June as to what Rollator would be best suited for both my living situation and also out and about.
The issue I have at home is that my front door opens outward because of my Stairlift, the only storage spot is against the wall in the corner where my Stairlift ends.
I have decided to get an X-Frame one that folds sideways which would store better in the small space I have.
A thing that I hadn’t thought of until doing some research is if there is no drop curb, how much of a challenge that could be.
The Rollator I have gone for does weigh around 9KG which is slightly heavy, but has 12 inch wheels at the front and 10 inch wheels at the back. But they also have Curb Climber on the back wheel which will help both at a curb and also when getting on the buz.
A huge thing I have to fathom out is Import Duty & VAT Relief which I can claim back as it is a personal disability aid.
