    Hi

I just need to ask another question if i have been awarded lcwra and nothing changed and if they want to do reassessment do i have to attend face to face apointment or just to fill in form.?

I have another question if i am on lcwra what will happen after 2028 if they link pip with uc will i still be protected or will i need pip assessment ?

    Hi @ased444.

LCWRA does not typically have an end date on the letter but there are usually reviews to check the claimant's current health condition. There is a large backlog at the moment so these reviews can be delayed. It may be up to 3 years after you have been awarded.

I don't have personal experience with reassessments so I'm unsure whether it would involve a face-to-face appointment. Hopefully one of our members has experience of this.

I found some information about the new benefit changes for 2028 but it's quite lengthy.

Hi @ased444 there's not a current link and don't anticipate there being one. As far as your future assessments, it's difficult to say if you'll be provided the same award, especially if your condition changes.

Hi @ased444, yes, your LCWRA payments will stay the same when the WCA changes come in.

Hi @ased444 the proposal within the green paper was for WCA to be scrapped and replaced with a PIP style assessment however we don't know yet the outcome yet due to the U-turn to enable the Timms review alongside the disabled community and charities working with the community.

    Hi

As your saying is that they wanted to scrap wca in green paper but they are not going to scrap the lcwra ?

This webpage on our website might be a helpful read @ased444. It sums everything up as far as what was initially proposed - Changes to disability benefits: what you need to know | Disability charity Scope UK. And here is the most recent update from November - Government launches a review into Personal Independence Payment | Disability charity Scope UK
