haha couple of rich teas will suffice
1 -
If they're on offer I'd take a rich tea too!
I'm not fussy when it comes to tea, as long as it comes with a biscuit to dunk.

If it is a nice one, i'll send you a Postal Order in advance of you sending it. π

π€£ A postal order, do they still do them? Many moons, stars & planets ago, my great aunts used to send them every birthday & Christmas. βΊοΈ
I could send you up the teabags if you want (really & for free! π), I'm keeping the tin though! π Well, I need to, in case the neighbours wonder where it is, but I do like it.

They still do Postal Orders, and i still buy them! There is a 12.5% fee, but I find them useful in certain situations.
A crossed PO is a safe way to send small sums of money. One might not want to potentially reveal one's card details for an eBay purchase etc.

Dear lady, I didn't much care about tea bags, I meant you can send me one of your 4 tea pots. π
1 -
They will curse you for making them visit a Post Office! π
An uncrossed PO, is as good as cash, and as such is insecure, but the person can exchange it for cash on the spot ( Neither party is required to have a bank account).
A crossed PO has the recipient's name on it, very secure, but needs to be payed into their bank account.
I never sell on eBay, but apparently some eBay traders like uncrossed POs, as they can cash them in at the same time as they post your item. The buyer might like them as they don't have to worry about handing over their banking details.
99p to Β£4.99 - 50p fee
Β£5 to Β£9.99 - Β£1 fee
Β£10 to Β£99.99 - 12.5% of the face value
Β£100 to Β£250 (maximum) - capped at Β£12.50
In the era of BACS transfers I expect such a facility is doomed to obsolescence, sadly.( I am quite sentimental).
