You can eat every part of the poor sob sob dahlia plant young leaves and petals are better than the older ones for salad skinned tubers have a high fructose content that helps balance blood sugar I myself have never done it I like them in the garden

I recently began a garden therapy course (boy, do I need it) and my first homework was researching edible weeds.
I looked at; Hairy bittercress - peppery cress-flavoured leaves; Borage - cucumber-tasting leaves plus bright blue star-shaped edible flowers; Ribwort plantain with flower heads tasting of mushrooms.

that sounds like a fun course when we were kids haymaking out on the moors we would chew the dry dock stems as the bitter taste turned very sweet red and white clover flowers are rather moreish as well

It's a jungle community garden with banana trees and giant ferns. I stopped volunteering almost 4 years ago following a crisis of confidence so I'm super happy to be back.

Its important to go for certain cultivars/varieties and cook well.0 -
Got some spring pruning done this morning.. Just some grasses and perennials.. And planted the last of late spring bulbs.. Could have done with more energy - really been feeling low.. Its frustrating..
