Hello,

My son has cerebral palsy and is currently 3 years old. We live in Birmingham/Solihull area and I was just wondering if anyone knows of any support groups around here that we could go to? We're trying to encourage him to take some steps with his walker and I think if he saw other children using walkers he might be more inclined to use it.

Thanks, Emma

Hello @Emma1987 welcome to the Community.

I do not have the answer for you but I have tagged @Richard_Scope and @Lucy_Scope who are our Cerebral Palsy Specialists. Hopefully they will be able to help.

    Take care.

    Hi@Emma1987,

    Nice to meet you ☺️

We are currently relaunching our parents of children with cerebral palsy group. This is an online group.

We will advertise the dates here.

If you have any questions in the meantime, please ask.

    Best wishes,

    Lucy

Hi @Emma1987 and a warm welcome to the community from me!

Have you explored your Local Offer or your local parent carer forum before? Often if there is information in your area on any social groups, activities or clubs for disabled children as well parent carer support groups and coffee mornings they are advertised on here 😊
