    @Holly_Scope handy indeed! 😁😁

@Ross1975 Colorado Red sounds very cool too!!πŸ‘πŸΌ That's amazing how long your cars last. Not the norm. Wow.

Yes, I'll dig up some car photos of the Corolla as I don't have pics of the other two as they were back in the 80s. You know I was thinking about what I wrote last night and it occurred to me that a big part of the reason I loved my Corolla so much was it was the only thing right in my life at that time, as my life fell apart and I was so effing sick that I almost died. And it was especially symbolic when I sold my car as it was impossible to afford it when had to go on social benefits. It's also the last car I owned. Bittersweet feelings around that Corolla. Bittersweet.

On a brighter note (from Pinterest)....

    Love it, @StarryEyed!! πŸ˜†

Same shot as before of the magnolia, just a little further back, it's now getting blousy!

They are, aren't they, @Holly_Scope, the parks are filling with magnolia flowers from white to bright & blousy pink. Love them, my favourite trees.

@JessieJ indeed gorgeous! In my nearby park, there's a tree about to bloom pink flowers. I'll take pics soon. Here's a rather blurry shot with my macro lens, but it shows the gorgeous colour....

The orange blossoms are in bloom now throughout the city. The smell is divine. And these blossoms are so delicate, so beautiful.

There was also this flower on a tree that is the first time I've seen it. I have no idea what it is.

It's such a treat to be thinking of you guys in the park when taking these pics. πŸ₯°

How lovely to be out in a sunny park surrounded by blossoms @StarryEyed ☺️

That red flower is so unusual, I've never seen one like that either!

Hi @Rosie_Scope πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘‹πŸΌ Yes, I'm very fortunate. We all have something to feel fortunate about. It's hard to feel it when down, but sometimes when I push myself, there can even be just a split-second of a thought or feeling that can sustain me. Others experience the same as I've heard. Or sometimes you can't feel it in the moment and it registers afterwards. Like a photo that registers later when looking at it.

That's a lovely way to put it @StarryEyed. My therapist once described a similar thing to me and called them 'glimmers'. Small lovely moments that give you even the tiniest little boost when times are tough.

@Rosie_Scope I never heard of glimmers. So I looked it up and there's lots about it. Here's what AI says....

    1000053024.jpg

Fascinating! Maybe the term glimmers comes from the expression 'glimmers of hope'? Thank you so much for this insight. πŸ™πŸΌπŸ˜Š I learn so much on this forum!

1958 Sir Vival. The car was built the way it was for safety, that's why the front pivoted and why the drivers seat is so high up in case of a head on collision. The bumpers were also filled with air and the windscreen in the 'turret' actually rotated while special cleaning pads wiped away rain and dirt. Weirdest car I've ever seen.

@Ross1975 that car looks somewhat liminal 😁

@Catherine21 since you talked in another thread recently about being barefoot in the grass, I've been taking a blanket to the park to lie down with my bare feet and palms in the grass. Heaven! Thank you πŸ™πŸΌπŸ˜Š

@Rosie_Scope thank you again for the glimmers insight. It's a beautiful concept!
