No back dated payment of PIP

in November 2025 I applied for Pip from being on DLA which was still ongoing until I got letter yesterday to say I have been awarded PIP further more they said it will be awarded from 22 April 2026 and paid in may 2026 and DLA will now stop but no mention of backdated to November 2025 when I applied for it can someone please tell me why I didn’t get backdated lump sum is this because my DLA was ongoing whilst pip decision not made

its not back dated its paid from the month after the date of award
